I think we're starting to see the dawn of an age where PC gaming is neglected because they can't sell us the DLC they can sell to the console crowd. There's a large chunk of money to be made from it. And it's not just the piracy incurring the wrath of publishers, because Xbox 360 piracy is a pretty big scene too. But when it comes down to it, the best way is to vote with your dollar. If you think this sucks, then don't buy it. If the PC version is a flop, they will be sent a message. I'm really hoping the PC sales are very lousy, but it doesn't really look that they will be (if you believe Gamestop, that is). As for me, I'm gonna go play Quake some more.

Given the history of how awful CoD typically is (especially the single player. CoD4's campaign played like a rail shooter, not a FPS. I will admit I bought CoD4 for MP and did enjoy playing it) I don't see that as much of a loss for the platform as a whole.

I think the issue is really larger in scoop then just what IW has done with MW2. I feel as though, PC gamers specifically, the true-hardcore-grow-up-playing-battle-tanks gamers are waking to a world where our favorite past-time is enjoyed and understood by more then a small group of people. Sure these people may not have the instinct for gaming as the hardcore gamers do but there are more of them then there are of us so the people with the money will sell to the casual crowd and neglect the hardcore gamers. This is not a bad thing, its just a thing and its a thing you can't control, when you start getting bent out of shape from things that happen with your past-time you should maybe take a step back and get some perspective on your relationship to your past-time.

Also: I HATE the word hobby, it sounds cheap and without skill. Which is not at all how I approach my gaming.

Word, and this is why so many of the "console" gaming crowd just reply with STFU you're getting what we have, they don't understand that we grew up with Quake, and TFC, and CS, and CoD2 for multiplayer, we grew up with Dedicated servers, the mod community, and pretty much being treated as gods by the developers. This is such a slap in the face, it really hurts, and that's why there are so many of us outraged, the REAL PC community is coming out of the woodwork in force and THAT is making me proud.

PC gaming is a hobby, I don't like the work either, but it's a hobby, a very expensive hobby, that one must devote time and energy to to be good at (here's looking at you Counter Strike... so many days/weeks/years wasted on you). Console gaming is a real hobby, spend 300 bucks on a system, it lasts you the lifetime of that generation of systems, PC's you spend about 600 minimum, and you're lucky if you don't have to upgrade something halfway through said "generation" of games.

Not trying to be a fanboy again... God dammit I'm officially IW's tool tonight ((... I'm sure this Mackey fellow doesn't really know dick-all about the fine attention given to each individual platform of the game and is just stating the obvious. I have play CoD4 on both the PC and the 360 and to be frank the 360 got screwed.
