I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is never easy - they're really more part of the family than anything. I lost my beloved dog, Woody, while I was in high school. I still miss him, but I believe he's in a better place now.

Daystar, I've known you form a while now as a user (Though it may not be mutual) and I'm sure you are a great person. I'm very sorry about what happened. I hope you get well soon and Rosie must have been a great dog. *hug*

I'm so sorry to hear about that :( It's so sad. Pets are so special. Happily I haven't recently lost any cats to tragedy but I have had kitties die of old age at like 20. Its helps to know that have had a good innings and a nice life.

Claudia wants you to draw her like one of your french girls.

I'm sorry to hear that. My dog died back in September, and I can't recall being as sad as I was then. Don't worry, eventually happy memories of the time you spent together do eclipse the sadness of his loss. Best of luck for the future.

R.I.P.

It's tough losing an animal. I remember not to long ago, I was close to a bird. He was in his cage this night, on his perch. I was in bed reading my book, and I just feel asleep, I guess. The thing was, because I feel asleep unexpectedly, I hadn't put a blanket over his cage. So I wake up in the morning to be greeted by his cold, limp, dead body on the bottom of the cage. He died from the cold. I know some of you guys might think it strange to become emotionally attached to a bird of all things. It's just something about small, harmless creatures that stick by you. When compared to us, they seem completely innocent in everything and will stick by you in thick and thin.

The opening posters picture of his dog has that look as well, a harmless innocent look and one that would stick by you no matter what. Well, R.I.P once again and just keep thinking positively. At least she had a good life, yes?

You have my condolences, I don't have any experience with pets other than goldfish so I can't say much from that angle but your dog had the same name as my younger sister so it must have been a cool dog :p

Were Pumpkin and Buttons pre-Assassin's Creed cats by any chance?

Haha no. If you look at the picture Buttons is the small kitten at Pumpkins (orange ones) butt. The Assassins Creed cats are from the same litter. Buttons plays with Pumpkin a lot and also looks loads like my older Persian cat Cinder.

Cinder...Pumpkin...Buttons. It's a pantomime conspiracy :D

Your doggy looks really sweet btw and had happy and kind eyes I bet they were a wonderful dog. hugs

I dunno...

They don't look like assassins. I mean, where are the hoods? They've got the hidden blades, but every assassin needs a hood apparently.

My dog died very recently, on New Years. He was an old dog. I had him for what seemed like years. He was the oldest / longest dog I remember owning, ever since he was a pup. Although, seeing how he was an outside dog and I was an indoor person, I never spent a lot of time with him, so when he died I didn't know how to feel. While I didn't spend much time with him, I appreciated his presence, sometimes just hang around him and he'd hang around me, and I still took good care of him. With him gone now, it just feels so... weird.

I miss him...

Well they should. An assassin is always prepared.

I'm sorry for your loss, I can't imagine what it would be like to lose my current dog.
My last one, a rescued greyhound, died early last year and I was in such a happy mindset (and still am), along with never being too attached to him that it didn't get to me whatsoever. But he was quite troubled and old; he'd not exactly had a normal caring upbringing so he was never hugely affectionate.

My new puppy though?
Licks me and cuddles me every single day I get home from college. I love that spaniel and I would hate to see it go, so while I can't entirely relate to you situation I can imagine what kind of hole it would leave to lose a friend that's been in your life that long.

Animal related stories... Hmm.
Well, I watched in stunned awe as he ate an extremely chewy bone, designed to last a week or weeks, in the space of, I shit you not, 6 minutes.

And damn right they're man's best friend. I have never heard of nor seen any animal that loves on the same level as a dog.

I'm very sorry for your loss, mate.

I know how much it hurts to lose a cherished pet and you have my sympathies. My JRT Russ died in 2007 at the grand-old age of 16 and he's still missed today.

Ah man, that sucks.

It's always terrible when a dog that young dies.
