i disagree with homosexuality, i think its immoral and wrong,
however i also think that it is wrong for me to stop two people who are making each other happy from being happy, and it would be wrong for me to force my opinion down their throats.
realy as long as they are not going out every night and having promiscuous sex with whoever is up for it then they are better than a lot of straight people i know

It's his opinion. I don't accept that lifestyle, but hey, I have a couple gay friends. It's just like I don't accept heavy-drinking or doing meth, but as long as those friends don't try to get me to particpate, or if it doesn't get in the way of the friendship, I don't care what they do.
Either way, I can see where he gets "disgusting, wonrg, and defective" from. That's all opinion.

I want to know when gay became used to describe homosexuals, it use to mean happy or joyful, its one of those questions i've been wondering about for a while.
On topic though i don't understand why him saying he's prejudice against homosexuals makes him a douche, what is he not allowed an opinion? doesthe fact that he believes that mean that he's feeble minded and out of touch? Thats one of the major hypocrisies (most likely spelt wrong) i often hear just because his opinion differs from your own doesn't mean he should have to change to suit anyone else, just like no gay person should have to change who they are to please anyone else. Thats the very fabric of personal freedom it just works both ways if some people choose to be openly gay others can choose to be openly anti gay.
Personally i couldn't care less either way wether someones gay or not its just a part of who they are like having a bad sense of humour or being tall, it contributes to their personality. wow thats quite deep for 11 at night, go me

I am posessed of the opinion that there is absolutely nothing wrong with harbouring hatred of a person or group of people provided that it just remains as hatred (as long as no-one comes to any harm), after all, if we are truely tolerant in this society then we should accept the fact that it is only natural for humans to hate each other, trying to get in the way of how we feel is only going to make it worse.
PS: I personally have no problem or grudge with people from any race or sexuality.

Unless your friend is coming up with dainty little banners and flags and FABULOUS uniforms and salutes and plans to rid the world of Gay people then you should just ignore his opinion.

He can belive whatever he wants, even if its wrong but if you really dont like how he thinks you should really consider the value ofyour friendship but other than that just let him nknow your thoughts on the subject and agree to disagree
He is entitled to his opinion. That said, if he spends his time insulting the gay students, then he needs to check himself over why he is as hating as he is and also whether it's really worth his time and energy to be that homophobic.Etrius_the_seraphim said:
