That kind of depends on a lot of things, people can be prejeduced against some group of people without being raging homophobes or racists or whatever. If the dude said it in a way that was pretty clearly "I hate gays" or something, that's a different story.
he said they are wrong and disgusting and defective
On the first and third points he's not really wrong, though it's just in the same way being double jointed or colorblind is wrong and defective (e.g. doesn't really matter.)

The second point is entirely his opinion.

Did anybody really ever think that maybe his homophobia wasn't really a decision that can just be overcome by reassessing the situation? It is possible that he doesn't like gays in the same way that a someone else might not like a spider. Like all phobias, however, it can be overcome after some time.

Once again intolerance of the intolerant prevails.

EDIT: Just because I find it interesting, I once met a guy who was afraid of homophobes. He was homophobe-phobic.

I must say, my faith in humanity wavers while reading this forum.
Man, I'm getting sick and tired of reading comments like this. Negative Nancies like you shouldn't be granted access to a keyboard.

Didn't we all learn in kindergarten that Martin Luther King Jr. was such a great man because he fought so hard against prejudice and rascism.
Except God didn't have anything against black people. But he does, however, have something against two dudes making out, something I'm ready and willing to stand behind.

I don't agree with the concept of accepting homosexuality, but I am all for the proposition of treating gay people just like any other normal person, provided they aren't waving their fucking cocks in my face to make it clear to the world and everyone in it that they are gay.

This is fucking America! Land of the free and home of the brave! look at the values we where founded on and then look at what he's doing! It goes against what this country is founded upon.
The very same country that allows people the freedom to disapprove of the homosexual lifestyle as they do the right for homosexuals to maintain it. You have no moral high ground.

We as a people deserve just as much as a right to express our beliefs as gay people have a right to express their interest in the same sex. No one deserves prejudice; not in this country and not anywhere else. The dislike for homosexuality should be restricted to homosexuality itself, not the practitioners.

If you worship a God that disapproves of homosexuals, then you worship the Devil. If you take apart the original translations of the Bible books, the Devil is the angel of judgment.

Nice try, but according to Ezekiel, Lucifer was the angel of music.

And no, God does not disapprove of homosexuals, as he has unconditional love for all of mankind, but rather he disapproves of homosexuality. There's a difference. I don't have to like that fact that a man is interested in other men just to get along with him.

Didn't we all learn in kindergarten that Martin Luther King Jr. was such a great man because he fought so hard against prejudice and rascism. We learned that prejudice and hatred are VERY BAD THINGS. Now we are looking at people through the lens of hate yet again. Is it that easy to forget what black people had to go through not fifty years ago. OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE!!!

and kudos to "Nick of All Trades" for THE BEST first post I have read
Martin Luther King Jr's time has passed we live in a society were you must accept all differences or be yelled at for hate speech. Where femenists can demand that fire fighters lower their physical standards to let women join despite that it endangers lives. Where anyone that criticises Israel for treating all muslims like scum are labelled as nazis. Where a black child can call a white child "cracker" without remorse but a white child can not say "******" without being abused. Where furry's can claim that to find their sexual fetish wrong is a form of prejudice.

The problem with minorities is that they are given more rights than the majority when their goal is not equality; it is the increase in their rights even if it takes from the rights of those outside the minority.

The most discriminated group right now are the young, white, conservative, christian, males. I can guarantee that they have been discriminated against in this very thread. However they don't scream for their rights and blame others which puts them head and shoulders above any well known minority.

I propose Judas' law.

The second you bring forth argumentative ammunition from an ancient fictitious novel in a battle of human rights is the second you lose any credibility whatsoever.

When you use the bible for reasoning you lose all credibility.
Then I think you'd be relieved to know I care nothing for your view on my credibility.
Then you have no right to be debating and I propose you shove an icepick up your nose.

Also, nice edit. You just lost more credibility, of which you don't care, in which case you become a hypocrite, so you just lost more. If you can debate with a novel then I propose the bible was simply placed by Zues to test faith.

I would just as soon propose you take your trolling elsewhere and leave civil discussion to the grownups.

Also, nice edit.
Thanks.

You just lost more credibility
lol

Of course, because accusing someone of being a child is sooo immature.

Also, trolling? Nice. Trust me, if I was trolling, you would know. Or maybe you wouldn't. Because you don't care.

Because you're an adult.

So hush.

How about you take your feud to personal messages this is just spam from both sides.
A feud comprised of 4 posts? Honestly maybe you should take this message to personal messages huh?

Maybe that should have been in a personal message, huh?

That's what I thought.

Let him have his prejudice, its his choice.

Shame though, its nice, I have gay friends who do my hair, and they make me look fantastic.
I wish I knew more gay people :( They seem so fun and happy!
They are actually, the best nights out in London are gay bars by far, I'm off this weekend actually with a big group, the only problem I have is "cruisers".

Cruisers are gay guys that specifically go after straight males, and I dont blame them, what with my fantastic hair! (and dolce and gabanna shirt)
