Hell, just give her ANY Final Fantasy game (except FFIX of course) and say, "See this? This is a quality JRPG. What you have been playing is pure shit."
Lesson learned.
Lesson learned.

Okay, FINE then... just VII and X then.Indigo_Dingo said:Thats a quality JRPG? You want quality, give her Golden Sun.matrix3509 said:Hell, just give her ANY Final Fantasy game (except FFIX of course) and say, "See this? This is a quality JRPG. What you have been playing is pure shit."

It was. You are.TheNecroswanson said:Daaaaamn right.Ultrajoe said:Decoy, I thought better of you.
Grow a pair.
So what if your girlfriend likes shitty games? is she cheating on you? You know the last two girls I dated who were gamers, turned out to be notorious skanks.
Appreciate what you got, and be glad she can connect to you on the "hey, I play video games" level. God forbid you be with someone who doesn't have such "refined" tastes such as yourself. I'm sure you think The Evil Dead series is an abomination against god and anyone who likes it is a moron?
You must be more forgiving than I am. I rate that game as one of my most hated, and I played all the way through Grandia Extreme ::twitch::. But yeah, the guitar mini-game was so much fun, I would have liked them to just strip out all the other parts and just let me do that for the game. Majora's Mask is the right way to do a time repeating mechanic, Ephemeral Phantasia is the wrong way. Having lots to explore isn't a good thing when you're on a time limit. Yeah, have lots to explore, but I think in this case it would have been better to close things off at first so I wasn't wasting all of my time wondering if I'm supposed to be going to this store or if I should have been heading out to the bandits place, and whoops, missed my five minute window to recruit the busty chick. Nocturne is unforgiving, Ephemeral Phantasia is just cruel.Tenmar said:I actually like Ephemeral Fhantasia. Probably the hardest PS2 JRPG I played for the generation. The game was very unforgiving, yet the game was not completely linear so you could recruit the games heroes at your own pace. I liked that they took the time jump like in Majora's mask and even introduced me to their minigame which was guitar hero.
Good characters and lots to explore, lots to do outside the mainquest, also remember that this game was created one year after the PS2 launch where Dreamcast RPGs were being ported over and there was no Final Fantasy X either.
Quite. I'm totally going to burn her at the stake. Then I'm going to take over Jerusalem.TaborMallory said:Shit!! She actually has a different opinion than you?! Holy fuck, somebody lynch her.
Too fucking bad. You're down there with the holy crusaders. Get over it.
Uh, get over it you ranting emo, pussy boy, elitist? Yeah...Decoy Doctorpus said:Stuff.
That might be it actually. I'm a huge anime fan but everything that's came out lately (with the exception of Index) has kind of bugged me. Makes me regret all those Japanese lessons we went to.The Great Fa said:Sounds to me like you just don't like Japanese games. 'Course I'm a total Japanophile so I'm sort of at the other end of the spectrum, but....
I sentence you to 40+ years of playing nothing but Final Fantasy VII while listening to J-pop (the kind where the "diva" tries to speak English).
MUHUHAHAHAHAH!
