I'm like the Jane Goodall of Ponies: I enjoy studying them and learning their ways, those Ponies in the Mist.Loop Stricken said:but you seem to understand it so well!Uberman5000 said:... and partly just, y'know, the show being adorable and funny and well-animated (and a far-and-away improvement over its old iteration). Haha, the scary thing is I actually read it as: 'Everypony needs somepony' the first time XDCracker3011 said:I prefer 'Everybody needs somebody' by the Blues Brothers, but your point still stands.
...You have NO idea how hard it was to resist the temptation to ponify the above sentence.
Thanks for posting that, what a great read. I think he is one very brave brony to reveal that much about himself and willingly open himself up for attack from trolls. Although I expect the sheer amount of tollerance in that letter will deter many.Nihilism_Is_Bliss said:That's an open letter to the brony community from a concerned brony, and I have to say, it's a good read.
It moved me a bit, and I agree with everything he said, so I'm trying to pass on his message and hard work.
It's a long read, but I assure you, it's well worth it.

Long answer, does it behoof you to actually read some of the posts in this or indeed other threads before asking?
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if you guys were all just trolling. I watched like, ten minutes of the first episode and said; fuck this, not to my tastes.
The staggering amount of people who spam images and have avatars from this show suggests to me that its not just a show people like. People like lots of shows. I don't see anyone carrying on about 'Bones' this fervently.
-edit- To answer you concisely. I skimmed this thread and thought I might have a good chance of getting a straight forward answer. Rather than condescending attempt at wit.

To some, it is. The majority of us actually like the show. Why is it this popular? Hell if I know.stinkychops said:Oh. and we would especially like to welcome all the representatives of Equestria's
law enforcement community that have chosen to join us here in the
Pony Hotel Ballroom at this time. We sincerely hope that you all enjoy
the show and please remember, Ponies, that no matter who you are, and
whatever you do to live, thrive and survive, there are still some
things that make us all the same:
you, me, him, them -- everypony, people, everypony!
Everypony needs somepony
Everypony needs somepony to love
Someone to love (Someone to love)
Sweetheart to miss (Sweetheart to miss)
Sugar to kiss (Sugar to kiss)
I need you, (you) you, you
I need you, (you) you, you
I need you, (you) you, you in the morning
I need you, (you) you, you when my soul's on fire
Sometimes I feel, I feel a little Pinkie Pie,
When my pony mistreats me, I never never have a place to hide, I need you!
Sometimes I feel, I feel a little Fluttershy,
When my pony mistreats me, I never never have a place to hide,
I need you, (you) you, you
I need you, (you) you, you
You know people when you do find somepony, hold that pony, hold that brony,
love him, hold him, squeeze her, please her, hold, squeeze and
please that pony, give 'em all your love, signify your feelings with
every episode you watch, because it's so important to have that special
somepony to watch, kiss, miss, squeeze, and please.
Everypony needs somepony
Everypony needs somepony to love
Someone to love (Someone to love)
Sweetheart to miss (Sweetheart to miss)
Sugar to kiss (Sugar to kiss)

Yeah. I wonder what that guy he or she is pretending to be did to piss him or her off.DanDanikov said:I'm not a Brony. All that letter/post makes me want to say, almost apologetically, is 'Welcome to the internet, this is nothing new' but I imagine the way he's exposed himself is going to invite that lesson to his doorstop all too quickly.
