My Textbook says video games are bad!

I remember on the news/radio the other day, they were saying something about reducing knife crime, and the first sugestion was "banning all violent video games".

Though I was reading my textbook to do my homework and my teacher yelled at me saying "If I wanted you to just get the answers, I would have told you them!", so I'm not taking seriously health class.

I'm actually writing a research paper about this now, obviously against the connection between Violent Video Games and Violent behaviors. ( Actually I'm writing about Violent Media in general, but that includes Video Games) and I found a lot of the research is faulty because of the way the studies are conducted, they are done in labs on young children who may feel expectations on how to behave from those conducting the experiments and may act violent because they believe they are supposed to and a bunch of other stuff like that.

Word. People just want to blame the first thing they can find. Whatever happened to violence in movies and music? It just happens to be a videogame. Its easier for a kid to hear violent music or watch a violent movie than to play a violent videogame. It doesn't matter though, the videogame industry makes so much money that these little fuckers bitching about it in textbooks or on the news are'nt gonna stop it any time soon.

Text books are almost a waste of money. I'm in college and out of about 20+ text books I used, I used only like 3 of them (for studying mostly) and the average price was $100+. They would say video games are bad only because they can't admit that it's the parents fault for raising their children to be crap.
