My Xbox ate my L4D disc.

Fucking todays consoles have the reliability of a.... Something un reliable.

I've never had a Wii/PS2 problem ever.

Plenty of people have chimed in about the PS2, so I figured I'd fill in the gap for the Wii. When SSBB came out, a bunch of people discovered problems with theirs. It was the first dual-layer Wii disc to come out, which is probably why people didn't notice sooner that some Wiis had trouble reading discs. The ones with that particular error got replaced/fixed by Nintendo, at least.

More recently, my Wii's drive has gotten ridiculously noisy, and I'm just waiting for it to die on me. It happens from time to time with any system with a disc drive instead of cartridges; moving parts are generally the most likely thing to fail, just because they get so much extra wear on them. I'm considering modding the stupid thing, not so I can download or copy other people's games or anything, but so I can rip my own games I've bought (since there's no good way to rip Wii games other than with the drive in the Wii) and play them off a USB drive and not have to worry about the impending doom of the disc drive. Either that or get the emulator working on my PC, since it should be fast enough on here.

Never said it was perfect, I merely said "I" have never had a problem. Never thought it would stir up all this debate ^^;

Ohhh man, my friend's xbox cable went under my closet door.... The xbox was standing up, I open the door, cable goes with it, and xbox falls over.

And his Far Cry 2 disc becomes scratched into oblivion.

The xbox scratched far cry so much that it changed the graphics and coding into an exact copy of oblivion?!!

I actually considered that joke after rereading what I typed, but I didn't think EVERYONE would catch it....
