who cares unless it's a new game? you had your chance to make a great game and you blew it. though I will admit I'll probably pick up a new dragon age game, your dlc can go the way of the buffalo.

It still looks DA2 to me, not that that confirms it or anything. It's just my hunch.

If it does turn out to be something playable, I hope it's not as rushed as DA2. That was a good game, but I think most everyone can acknowledge some large flaws from the time constraints.

As soon as I read the part in the Dragon Age lore that said griffon's were thought to be "Extinct" I knew that they would eventually bring them back.
$100 says Dragon Age 3 will be a prequel.
I doubt that very much. Dragon Age 2 ended with the world in chaos, and they wouldn't just leave that unresolved.
Modern Warfare, Kingdom Hearts, Assassin's Creed, Killzone - all examples of franchises milking the series after an unresolved climax before later returning to reveal an actual sequel.

If something like Dragon Age: The Wardens, or Dragon Age: The Beginning doesn't hit shelves before Dragon Age 3, I will be very surprised.
Kingdom Hearts, Assassin's Creed (though at least the "milkin' it" game, Brotherhood, was the best in the series), Killzone (Not that I know, I'm trusting you on it), sure...

How did Modern Warfare do it?

Hopefully this will be DLC. I feel they need to take more time to develop the next game to get the balance right.

But I trust BioWare. Just remember they've given us Jade Empire and Neverwinter Nights ^^

Looks quite alot like something you'd find in a fable game, the enviroments. But sure, I'll dig it. <3

Gryphons? Griffins? Both are acceptable spellings.

AND YES, DO WANT MORE GREY WARDENS!

Interesting, but to be honest I'm not putting much faith in Bioware until at least a year or so after "Old Republic Online" launches. Right now I think a lot of their problems come from them keeping too many balls in the air, with most of their attention being focused on the MMO that has such a huge investment of money from EA (which controls them). A year afterwards will mean that they will have had time to deal with the launch of the new MMO, and will probably have more of an abillity to focus on their other products.

I kind of expect that a lot of fans are going to look at "Mass Effect" through a lens of what could have been rather than what we wound up getting in the long term. I also don't think we'll see a decent Dragon Age title unless they can develop it with the abillity to properly focus on it. The expansions might be interesting, but at the same time it occurs to me that they are still being developed alongside this MMO and as a result are probably going to wind up suffering, and being mere shadows of what they otherwise could be.

This is just my opinion and observations of course. I've said all this before. I think Bioware was so good because they focused on each of their products so much, but right now they have gotten into bed with big business, have their attention divided, and of course have their best people, irregardless of where the names are, being required by their bosses to focus most of their effort on the most expensive project. Even expanding their manpower isn't a good thing, because in the end it means that they wound up being a lot less selective, you can't flood what was a crack team with bodies and then expect it to retain the same quality that made it a crack team.

Maybe they should hire terry pratchett to write the story from here on out >.>
The images are from DLC that will be for DA2, so I wouldn't ever expect the graphics to be better.

On that note, the graphics for DA2 were great, much much better than DA:Origins.

I don't expect the graphics for DA3 to be much better, since they will make it before this console generation is done. It's not like there is much that can be improved with the graphics with the limitations. Though, it isn't like the limitations are a problem, since graphics don't effect how playable a game is.

It's way too early to: tell just what the hell is going on with any of those pics or judge their quality before any official announcement on DA3 has been made. I am glad to see Laidlaw is taking the 'constructive criticism' from DA2 to heart but I won't count on anything until game details surface or more realistically, until I try the game myself.

Alright, I'll take you up on that. My take on it is that we're going to visit Weisshaupt or some other Grey Warden fortress.

I have a more fitting line : "Are those the three areas that we are going to recycle over and over again?"
