Mythos 2 (Closed)

Eryn waved the man's hand away, ignoring her own pain and immediately standing up. It would have been easy to just run past these two Mythos and escape from the compound, but she wanted to find the doctor responsible for putting her through all of those agonizing test.

"I don't care why you're here. You've set me free and I am thankful, but now I need to go deal with some personal business." She walked passed them, transformed, and ran towards the doctor. His scent was embedded in her mind, making it simple to find him.

Two years! Two years and I'm finally free! The voice had returned and she let out a nightmarish howl in approval.

 

[Baldrek]

"... You have yet to tell me who this General is. But you are right. Lingering here is not good, even if those working here deserve... To be horrifically ripped apart." Rolf says in what could have been described as a disturbingly monotone voice.

He rises to his feet and moves his arms once, the sound of cracking bones filling the small cell.

"... But, I am not the only one you have freed... I hope?"

"Other operatives are releasing the other Mythos captives as we speak." Burst explained. "As for who the General is, I do not know. He did not tell us his name, nor his species. He seemed to be in his human form while he explain our mission. A man with light blond hair, one red eye, and one blue eye. I know nothing else."

Burst led the great undead being out of its cell, and found the Arashei engaged with some human guards. Burst drew his gunblade and changed it into its rifle form. He loaded a clip of ammunition and fired a few rounds at the guards. The rounds hit the ground, and began to hiss as they released a gas. As the gas made contact with the remaining flames from the Arashei's attack, it ignited, enveloping the section of hallway in flames.

"Let us keep going, we are almost out of this place." Burst said to the other Mythos. "Hurry."

 

[Lost In The Void]

Anthony heard the radio traffic over the radio. The Dryads were dead, they were linked if one was dead the other was too. He looked at Wes, a sad look in his eye, "I'm sorry Wes...we can't linger, I can't risk lives for this, we'll get that thing off you," he raised his SMGs and turned around," For now we need to keep moving."

They moved through the prison and Anthony called on the radio, "Please tell me you have both the others ready to go, are Eryn and Rolf ready to go?"

 

[Time Travelling Toaster]

"Yup, we've got Eryn," Vasilli grunts over the radio finishing off another guard.

"She is...preoccupied though..." he grins looking towards the wolf chasing the doctors scent.

 

[Lost In The Void]

Anthony balked at what Vasilli had said, "You let her go?" he rubbed his head exasperated, "What did I say when I sent you, don't fucking let her go!" he was yelling over the radio now, "Keep after her now!"

 

[Time Travelling Toaster]

"I was holding off the guards, shout at the yeti!" Vasilli barks back before setting off after Eryn, trying to catch sight of the wolf amongst the chaos.

"Michael, shift!" he shouts at his comrade as he burst past the room.

As Anthony moved away, Wes stayed rooted in place. He couldn't leave without the biggest part of himself, his abilities. He considered running, leaving his rescuers so he could regain his lost identity. But Anthony's sincerity stopped him from that. He would be trading away his freedom, and taking the lives of people who had come to rescue him. The choice was too much to make.

Glancing back to his cell, he felt a push on his back. Justin urged him forward, and he started walking heavily. His mind finally snapped to, and he raised the SMG in preparation for leaving.

"Whatever happens, I'll catch up, alright?" Justin asked rhetorically as he followed the two out. Down a hallway to their left, two guards appeared and began firing, stopping Justin at the corner. He stepped back and to the side just enough to get a shot on the first guard, quickly squeezing off two bullets. Hearing a familiar piece of metal hit the wall, he shifted his gaze to the ground and brought his right foot back in anticipation. When the grenade rolled in front of him, he quickly kicked it back, bouncing it off the opposite wall in the hallway. He slammed his back onto the corner as the grenade went off, peeking out to make sure the guard was down.

"They're over here!" a voice yelled from behind him, followed by a bullet to the back of his vest and several more to the walls beside him. As he fell to the ground, Justin flicked his rifle to auto, going ragdoll and sliding down the wall. When he could see the guard, he sprayed the hallway with half the magazine until the guard fell and didn't move. Sure the man was dead, Justin got up and ran to catch up with the General and Wes.

Michael shook his head and almost facepalmed; too busy running.

"Coming!" He grunted heavily.

After finally catching up with Vasili, he pointed his hand and started running at full speed.
"There!" He yelled, spotting the wolf pounce at the wall and turning left through some doors.

"DAMN!" Michael yelled as he rounded the same corner. There were three rooms and there was too much chaos to spot the wolf or any sounds indicating which room he was in.

"You check out the Medical Facility, I'll check the lab!"
Micheal walked up to the lab door and punched it with an open palm, opening it into the wall and breaking the lower hinges so it hung downward slightly.

Seeing there was nothing broken or even moved, he figured a werewolf could'nt hide in a small room like this so he went back out into the hallway.

Vasili had already gone into the Medical Facility, so Michael headed into the Scientist living quarters, walking heavily and panting; worried dearly for the werewolf's life.

 

[Lost In The Void]

"Shit," Anthony said, putting down the radio, "We need to go now, those idiots let Eryn go and you know she is..." he trailed off as two guards came around the corner. He fired quickly bullets punching the two guards in the chest knocking them down. He kept moving through the hallways, looking for the stray werewolf, "Eryn!"

Eryn found the doctor cowering underneath his desk. When he saw that she arrived at his office he practically wet himself.

"Get away!" He yelled, his voice higher than usual. He went to grab something from the nearby shelf but Eryn easily pounced on him. She dug her claws into his shoulders, making him cry out in pain.

The poor doctor seems to be in pain. Too bad this is nothing compared to what we're going to put him through.

Eryn began clawing the doctor, tearing away at any available flesh. She ripped into his throat with her mouth, enjoying how his throat made the same exact sound as the guards. By the time she was done with him he was nothing more than pulp.

 

[Lost In The Void]

Anthony heard the screams, but was too late as he saw Eryn tear apart an unfortunate doctor to pieces, "Eryn!" he called running into the room. He grabbed her from behind and spun her around, holding her from moving, knowing how unpredictable she was in that form, "Eryn...be calm."

Michael and Vasili both came jogging into the office.

"Sir, guards are moving in fast, I spotted some guards carrying a really big machine gun, atleast three guys holding it. I think they're going to deploy it at the exit point, what should we do?"
Michael got into cover, hearing a guard closing in.

Emptying his magazine at the last two guards nearby, Justin quickly reloaded, placing the empty clip into his pocket. He then followed the General into the office, still watching the hall.

"I'm ready to leave anytime you guys are," he commented, turning to the group and freezing at the sight of the General hugging a werewolf. Definitely scary-looking up close, he thought. A ricocheting bullet caused him to turn around and fire three shots into a guard, knocking him back into the wall behind him. The guard began sliding down the wall, dead before he settled.

Eryn immediately transformed back into her human form upon seeing Anthony. Being captive for two years helped her learn to control her transformations.

"Hello, Anthony.." She said, her face caked with the doctors blood. "Glad to see that you had enough time to come and get us."

Michael looked outside. The sounds of things breaking and people screaming had vanished, only revealing the sounds of gun fire and squad commands outside.
Inside was quiet... real quiet.

"Boss? I think something's on it's way... you hear that?"
Michael said, listening closely to the immense silence.

 

[Meta_Trooper]

Azure stepped out of the flames and followed the other two.

"you could've just gone without me."

there were several bullet wounds over the front of his body body, but mostly at his right side, streams of purple liquid slowly poured from each one, Azure put a hand to his side and held it there for a few moments, when he removed his hand the purple was mixed with liquified metal, it would take a while to come out of his system but it saved having to remove bullets.

Wes crouched in the office off to the side, still a bit lost in the events around. The door was well covered, so he looked around a bit. Anthony was holding Eryn still. It was a relief to see her again, but Wesley's attention was focused on the red pulp on the floor. He walked over and looked around.

He was disgusted at the destruction of the body, but not enough to make him gag as it used to. There was a picture on the desk, of the doctor what could be assumed to be his wife. Wes finally realized who it was that Eryn had mauled to death. He wasn't sorry at all, except that he would have hoped to kill him himself.

A problem abrupty surfaced in his mind. I needed him.

"Eryn... I needed the doctor alive." he said, as if he couldn't believe the man was dead.

Michael had noticed a file cabinet that had on a heavy lock on it, keypad and fingerprints required.

"Nevermind that"
He said to himself as he grabbed the lock, and repeatedly struck it with his fist.
Eventually, his fist had gone a little red with his blood, along with the lock, but it was off atleast.

"General!"
He exclaimed as he slowly picked up folders out of the cabinet.
"Jackpot"
