Michael stepped out of the transport and walked into a nice medium sized room, with a bed that could almost suffice.

"Back in Alaska" He said, ending with a loud breather and a sniff to the air. "aaaaaah"

Now... this just won't do
He said, looking at the bed. Instead, he took the covers and pillow out of the bed and threw them at the floor.
As he lay down onto the make-shift bed he created, his legs succeeded the beds' length by far, and he was happy with where he lay in comfort.

Not bad

Azure didn't carry much with him and didn't feel like resting, so instead of finding a room he went off to train his sword skills, it had been a while since he'd fought using his blade.

as he walked away he reflected on what he had been hearing about rolf, in his culture, losing your sword was like losing a limb, a part of yourself, he wondered what was going through the Draugrs mind.

Burst entered his quarters, closed the door firmly, and undressed. His was a species that had no need of clothing, as their anatomy was less revealing than that of humans. Still, many others, Human and Mythos alike, found it slightly unnerving seeing them without clothing, so most Dragonkin obliged for the sake of decency.

The bathtub seemed slightly small, but it was suitable for Burst to bathe himself and clean his scales of blood and dirt.

The water was scalding hot to the skin of a human, but against Burst's scales, it felt wonderful. Although he was not cold-blooded, the comfort of high-temperatures was still appreciated.

Vasilli shakes himself back to his human form once in his room before going for a bath.

"Human again," he grins at the bad joke as the water runs down his face from cleaning his hair, "no, I prefer this," he sighs turning off the water and climbing out the tub, drying himself before putting his suit back on.

"What the hell is next?" he asks himself looking in the mirror touching the area where he was shot earlier.

Eryn went to her room, closing the door behind her. She was a bit uncomfortable in her new room. She had spent the last two years locked away in a tiny cell, so she had grown accustomed to living in such a small and confined area. Being.. free is gonna take some getting used to.

She walked into the bathroom, turning on the water and letting the bathtub fill up. This entire situation is going to take some getting used to. I'm free but people are still chasing after me.. us. And Anthony said our numbers have dwindled.

"So I'm a member of an endangered species?" Eryn said to herself as she got into the bath. "This whole world is so messed up.."

Rolf saw no need for the room he had been provided, and merely stepped in for a change of clothes before starting to pace the corridors of the base. Lying still for so long hadn't really hurt him in any real way, but his joints still felt a little stiff, but he could probably sort that out by just moving around.
As he walked around, something started to dawn on him, as a few mythos started discreetly covering their noses when he walked close by.

'Ah... I do smell like a corpse, I had forgotten that.'

He turned around and retraced his steps back to his room to see if any cologne had been supplied with the other toiletries.

When his eyes were open, he saw the water filling up around him in the bath tub. The warm water flowed, surrounding his body in a rejuvenating wave. But when he closed his eyes, or even blinked, he saw the guards he had just shot. He saw the inhumanity in his human enemies as he purged the world of their blight.

He saw her, and opened his eyes.

Justin knew he'd never get her out of his head, but he didn't want to. He wanted to track her down, apologize for not doing anything, and beg her forgiveness for what he had let them do to her, but he had a war to fight, and a General to follow. Turning the water off, he leaned back, resting for a minute before scrubbing himself down.

Michael got up and put on his fedora.
Leaving the room, he quietly walked the hallways, feeling that slight little chill from the mountain air soothe his temper.

Feels like home

As he found his way into a caffiteria type of room, he noticed it was empty, besides one lone man dressed in a dirty white coat, sipping coffee and reading the local newspaper.
"How you doing chef? Not much company at this time I take it?"

The chef shook his head as he lay down the paper and sipped from the mug.
"Say, there any food I can help myself to?"
The chef nodded toward a fridge which stood by the entrance to the kitchen.

"....aaaalright"
What's wrong with him? ... maybe he's mute or something
Michael neglected the idea and grabbed some food; bread, butter and orange juice.

Sitting down at a table, he put the food supplies he had gathered onto the table and stood back up to fetch some eating minstrels.
As he got back, he got his sandwich ready and dug in.

Wes decided not to go straight to the rooms, preferring to look around first. There was so much space now compared to the cell, he felt a bit exposed. He started towards the entrance to the complex, which was now closed, but there was a sizable crack through which some light was coming in. Leaning in close, he peered outside.

There was a wide expanse of grassy terrain, rolling steeply away from him and broken up by large boulders. In the distance stretched the Rocky Mountain range, and it looked as if it stretched right around to cover them.

A cold breeze blew through the crack and hit his bare torso, the chill cut straight through his thin, scrub-like pants. He gasped for breath and stepped back, but he didn't mind. It was great just to feel anything different from the tepid, sterile air of the lab.

He didn't dare go outside for fear of attracting attention from their pursuers, so he rubbed his arms to get circulation and headed back to the rooms. Entering a vacant room, he looked through the drawers and quickly found a sweater and jeans to wear. Instead of drawing a bath, he simply filled the sink and splashed the water over his face then scrubbed his hands through his hair.

As he dried himself off he realized something troubling. He felt . . . disappointed. The whole time he had been in that prison he had entertained himself with thoughts of returning to his old life, being happy again. Now that he was out, he found that freedom didn't feel as good as he had expected. It was confusing, and he didn't know what to make of it. Still though, he pulled on a pair of boots and left the room to wander about some more, just because he could.

Anthony had finished cleaning up and had a fresh suit on. He walked into the kitchens where he found the Yeti-type being eating, "Did I not say we'd be eating as a team?" Anthony asked. It was a trivial thing to get angry at, but the stakes they were playing with dictated that there be absolute understanding of orders and a greater sense of team unity, "Be in the dining hall in ten minutes," Anthony said, walking out of the kitchen, "Damn Yetis can't hear anything for all the damned fur in their ears," he muttered.

Soon the entire team was in the dining hall, where a table was set out for the guests. They sat down and Anthony made sure that the three new members were seated near him. He stood up as the meals were brought out, "I guess I should formally introduce myself. I am Anthony,a former angel of the Lord, yes he does exist you skeptics and now am one of the key minds of the Mythos Resistance Force, known to the world as the Blackjacks," he paused, "I am former angel, because my own God has forsaken me due to the demon's blood that flows through my veins, a by-product of an injury I sustained in battle two years ago."

He gestured the three new members to stand, which they did, "This is Eryn, Wes, and Rolf. The reason we rescued them was because its my fault they were captured and they are some of the best Mythos I have fought with since this bloody war began."

They all sat down again, "I'm sure you are all wondering what the next mission is. That will come after the meal, I don't want to spoil your appetites. Any questions about anything else I will answer if possible," with a final nod, he began to quietly eat his meal consisting of salads, fruits and water.

Michael smiled at the big steak he had been cooked, with a side dish of canned salad and some beans.

mmm
He thought out loud and dug in.
Not in a messy manner, on the contrary, he was a very fancy diner; following his fine and well-suited manner at all cost. He wanted to show how civil he could be, even though he was a Jayx; a big and mighty beast, that merely got known to technology a few years ago.

It still surprises me how easy it is to cook these days... Back home it could take hours to get something even heated!
Michael thought to himself, not wanting to spoil the appetite of everyone by opening his mouth in speech.

Letting his rifle hang from his shoulder, Justin picked up his silverware and looked at his plate of baked beans, clam chowder, and bacon cheeseburger. It was an odd meal, but they did ask what he wanted. The company didn't have the best dining facilities, nor were they formal at all, so he had to keep in mind to eat relatively slowly. This is a proper meal, not a field ration, he thought, so eat it right.

He blinked, and her face appeared in front of him for that split second, but it was enough to surprise him into dropping his spoonful of beans. Got to look for her. Shaking his head, he kept eating, knowing it would be hard for anyone to have missed that.

"Fuck," he whispered, reaching for his hat. About to take it off, he remembered his two weapons at his side. "No, you idiot, keep it on when under arms." Fed up with his own head, he slowly stood up and stepped away from the table. "Excuse me, guys, I'll be right back." Not pushing his chair in, Justin walked out into the hallway and sat down, leaning his head against the wall behind him. Come on, get your shit together. There's a war to fight, you know.

Rolf sat with his arms crossed, looking at the others assembled around the table. Unlike the others he was the only one without a plate of food in front of him, not that the staff hadn't asked, but he had simply waved them off and told them that he had no need of anything.

He noticed one of the team members, a human if he recalled correctly, act oddly, maybe even a bit nervously, but for some reason his slight resentment towards him seemed to fade from this. He couldn't say why it caught his eye, or why it had affected him, even slightly. But he merely leaned back in his chair and shot him another glance as he excused himself and went to the hallway.

Eryn watched the human as he left the table. When did we allow humans to join us? She thought to herself angrily. Its his kind that's destroying us. How do we know that he's not some sort of spy working for the U.N.? How do we know he won't betray us?

She pushed her food away, suddenly losing her appetite. I can't stand humans. His scent alone is making me nauseous. He's lucky he didn't meet me two years ago.. Otherwise I would have ripped him apart right then and there. Her hands bawled up into fists, making her knuckles bone white.

You hate him because he's human? Don't forget.. you're half human.

"[small]Shut the fuck up..[/small]" She muttered under her breath.

Michael finished his steak and grabbed a nearby napkin, wiping his mouth and burping very quietly under his breath whilst holding his mouth with the napkin.

What a strange group of.. people..

Michael leaned back a little and then stood up, pushing the chair under the table.
"Excuse me fine gentlemen and lady, I will be over there" Michael said, pointing at the door to the hallway, as he pulled out a cigar. "I do not wish to spoil your meal, with my need for a good smoke"

Michael ended with a smile, walking toward the door, stopping besides it, the door was maybe, 5-10 meters away from the table, so he felt it was a convenient spot to stand, being able to engage in the conversations whilst not interrupting anyone's meal with smoke.
He stayed within earshot of the table's conversation and lit up his cigar.

Justin sat in the hall, eyes fixated on the opposite wall while his mind's eye returned to the vampire. Neither budged for some time, but he soon found words to say.

"I'll find you," he muttered as the image faded. "Someday, I swear I will." Slowly getting on his feet, he slammed his fists into his chest and walked back to his seat. Sitting down, he noticed one team member had pushed her plate away.

"Sorry about that," he commented, picking up his spoon, "just a bit of my past haunting me." Focusing on his plate, he resumed eating the meal his stomach so desperately craved.

Burst was watching the human's actions carefully. He was naturally wary of them, being understandably suspicious. Still, this human didn't seem to have any ill-intent towards Mythos. He seemed scared, in fact. He also seemed to pop out of his head on occasion, his mind elsewhere. Where his mind went, Burst could not know, but it went somewhere troubled... he could smell it on the human.

Then there was the girl... She seemed human enough in appearance, but her scent was animalistic. They had mentioned her being half-werewolf, something that surprised him. He could not understand why a Mythos would mate with a human. His brother had a human female as a mate decades ago, but she left him upon when he had revealed his true self. It seemed that she did not love him like he thought she did. Still, if Human and Mythos could see past species and produce this girl-child... Perhaps not all humans were so bad.

"Tell me." Burst addressed the four veteran members of the Blackjacks. "My brother was in the Blackjacks two years ago... a Dragonkin by the name of Squall. Can you tell me... How did he die? I only know that he lost his life fighting against the Human U.N. Aside from that, I knew nothing else of his work with you."

Anthony stiffened. He remembered the attempted extraction of Allen a year ago. The files that first showed him the extent of the human threat.

As he fought through the hallways, his sword cleaving all in his path, he could smell blood, hate and fear all around him. Yet there was an air of confidence too and soon he knew why, as the bullets rang through the corridors, ripping into his body. They weren't Satan's Bane so he shook them off, but his companions were ripped to shreds. He took cover in an open room. He was shocked to see the body of a dragonkin and one that he had known shortly as well.

Their companion Squall, one of the few Mythos who had been optimistic lay on his side, a slow heavy breath leaving his body occasionally. Anthony walked up to him and put his hand on his flank, "Friend...who did this to you?"

The beast, unable to speak pointed up and Anthony saw the weapons used against the Dragonkin. He closed his eyes and raised his sword, "I will not watch you suffer," he raised to the sword higher and the Dragonkin closed his eyes with a small smile, twisted slightly from his pain. Anthony's sword glowed with black flame and he thrust it into the heart of Squall, ending his life quickly....

"Your brother died in captivity of the humans," Anthony couldn't tell him that he had killed him, it would be too painful at the time. They would discuss it another time, when it wouldn't interfere with the mission.

The table was cleared and everyone returned to the table. Anthony saw how scared the human was, how angry Eryn was. He was going to have to talk to her later about a human in their team, this couldn't be a problem. He took a small remote and turned on the projector with created a 3-D image over the table. The image showed an injured Mythos being beat by a gang of small children on the sands of Africa. The scene was very graphic as the kids were using an aluminum baseball bat to crack the knees and ribs of the poor werewolf and it struggled to claw itself away, before a final crack of the bat ended its life. The nerves twitched the body of the werewolf as a slow crimson pool began to spread around it.

Anthony clicked off the image, "That was the scene after Africa removed all rights from the Mythos species. It's believed this was due to pressure by the United Nations. The next nation is the one we're in right now, Canada. The government has a few Mythos refugee camps, but with the introduction of this legislation that could change quickly. Our next mission is to eliminate the politicians and representatives of the U.N that would try to put through these bills. Any questions?"

Eryn had tried to calm herself down. She really had. She had unclenched her fist and rested them on the table, silently counting to ten. But when Anthony showed the video of the children beating an already injured werewolf to death her anger increased tenfold. They hit the werewolf over and over again as if he was a damn pinata and they were expecting candy to come out of him. Instead they got nothing but guts and blood. Worst of all, they killed her kind.

You'd like to kill those children, wouldn't you?

She dug her nails into the table, leaving noticeable marks on the oak.

"When are we leaving?" Eryn said to Anthony.

"Tomorrow," Anthony said, sitting down, "You are all dismissed, except for you Eryn, me and you need to have a chat yet, before you go anywhere."
