ontopic: errm... when i was younger my mother stopped me from playing by saying if id didn't, my gameboy was gonna take a flight - right out of the window ^^

Actually, I've grown up in a pretty pro-gaming lifestyle, my grandmother tells me to shoot buildings and kill people (In game of course) And points out things that should go boom and splat.

..unfortunately that wasn't a lie, I was prone to migrains as a child, and it wasn't uncommon for me to be horrendous pain for an evening after playing videogames for too long.

Parents also used to claim they made me more agressive toward my siblings, which was usually countered with "No, having to be around them makes me more agressive, make them go away and watch how calm I become".

I like how my parents got me into gaming. Seriously, I didn't even know what an N64 was when I got one for Christmas. They got it to help with my fine motor skills, it helped a bunch actually. They even played Mario Kart when I went to bed. Seriously, those sneaky bastards played my game when I had to go to bed early (awesome!).
