Name a TV show that ended just right.

I agree. I decided to not watch the episodes after that, because it was supposed to end there.

Fooly Cooly. God, I can name so many things that show did right, but one thing I can say that it does right, that ascends it more than any other anime, is that it wasn't a kajillion episodes long. Fuck Bleach. Fuck Naruto. Fuck One Piece. Fuck Reborn. Fucking fuck Dragon Ball Z. It gives a greater, more mature telling of a boy's rite of passage than all of those shows put together, and it did it in six episodes. It was a triumph for Gainax.

If it extended past that, if it kept going only because a manga artist/anime director felt that extending a story with no regard to the quality of the finished product to keep making money, like the former, it would become nothing. But instead, it stayed limited to six episodes. And it became something more.

I hate those animes that doesn't know when to end. Fooly Cooly is indeed, really good.

Stargate SG-1, Stargate Universe, and arguably Heroes.

SG-1 required two extra DVD movies to tie up the loose ends, and SGU still has 2 episodes left to go, and, by all reports, will end on a Cliffhanger.

Friends and Scrubs both managed to give me a feeling of...ending, like saying goodbye to a good friend who is moving across the world and you know you'll never see them again.

Other then that Code Geass was great (although I've been hearing rumors they aren't done yet)
And I'm worried that they won't end How I met Your Mother well, there's only 4 more years of the show at most

Plus if time travel is easy enough for the Federation to pull off why didn't the Borg with their superior technology simply travel back in time and assimilate all the sentient races before they could become any kind of threat?

Because they don't want to assimilate anything that won't add anything to the collective.

So replace "assimilate" with "wipe out."

My point is that time travel fails because if you can do it then so can the other guy. You travel forward thinking you're so clever and the other guy is waiting for you with a smile and a charged phaser. And that's if you're lucky.

I'm tempted to say The Venture Bros even if they are coming back. This would have made the perfect ending.

If it hasn't been said, then Arrested Development. It sucks it was cancelled, but they knew ahead of time, so they wrapped up pretty much everything. I love that show, and I loved the last episode.

and i would say scrubs, the end of season 8 was perfect, couldnt have been better, then fucking season 9 comes along..... god, so that doesnt count, although it should

Last Season of Scrubs doesn't count. I didn't hate it, but it's really a spin-off. The creator even said so before he made season nine, so we don't even have to ret-con it.

Avatar the last Airbender had a good ending.
I also liked Gilmore Girls ending (yeah, I like Gilmore Girls, more like love actually, deal)

I actually wasn't to fond of the Voyager ending, it wasn't bad, just not "end of a 7 year epic"-good. I liked the-TNG ending better. I know there are movies after, but they still ended the series in a good way

Cowboy Bebop has one of the best endings to a series that I've ever seen.

I also thought Avatar: TLA had a good ending. Yeah, it was corny as shit but it's a kid's show from Nickelodeon. What else could it be? Also, the fight with the Fire Lord was awesome.

I've never seen a show that ended really well...

Shows like Lost, Seinfeld and Death Note both build up well but ultimately disappoint or fall short.

**WARNING, SPOILERS FOR AVATAR THE LAST AIRBENDER HERE**

Avatar: The last Airbender, the show ended well, they only had two loose ends, what happened to Jet and what happened to Zuko's mother, it wasn't a cop out ending that honestly, with nickelodeon breathing down their backs about how to end it without killing the firelord(becuase it was still a kids show, even if it did have some mature decisons), they wraped it up pretty well in my opinion. It's the best ending to a show that I've seen. Of course I don't count show like Firefly who were ended becuase of the Network, not through the show's own ending.
