Easily Scrubs, technically it ended at Season 8 and the season after is actually a spin-off. So yeah, (SPOILER ALERT!!!) the part with J.D walking towards the exit of Sacred Heart and him seeing all the patients and memroable people that have been in the series is just.....EPIC

A lot of people didn't like it, but I thought Prison Break had a really powerful ending. It was really sad sure, but I thought it was a masterpiece. Plus it gave a real feeling of closure so we're not wondering if they will revive it.

In contrast, 24, a show that was absolutely epic in every other way had an ending that sucked. Not that it wasn't a good episode, it was a great episode, but there was no closure of any kind. They could have EASILY made another season, if not a few more. And they fucking should have.

M*A*S*H had the best finale of any show. I mean, who did not cry during it? Also, it was the most viewed television event viewed to date in the U.S, beating the Superbowl.

Monk ended pretty well. As much as I would have loved for them to continue it, they did a fine job wrapping up the series.
Everything these gentlemen said.

the UK version of Life On Mars.
the US one was beyond stupid.

I'd forgotten about Life on Mars UK, that is probably the second best example after Blackadder, shame they made Asher to Asher 1 season too long, because for a spin-off that was really quite good. And I will never understand why they made the US version, it hit every base on the shit pitch. Why couldn't they have just imported the UK version???
I guess for the same reason they didn't import the UK version of The Office (which also had a good ending i think)
edit: for me that would be export ;)

Last Season of Scrubs doesn't count. I didn't hate it, but it's really a spin-off. The creator even said so before he made season nine, so we don't even have to ret-con it.

Avatar the last Airbender had a good ending.
I also liked Gilmore Girls ending (yeah, I like Gilmore Girls, more like love actually, deal)

I actually wasn't to fond of the Voyager ending, it wasn't bad, just not "end of a 7 year epic"-good. I liked the-TNG ending better. I know there are movies after, but they still ended the series in a good way[/quote

Oh, I just realized my 100th post was about TV-shows, my greatest past-time. I even mentioned Gilmore Girls. How fitting, Champagne for everyone!

I would love to say Scrubs, but then they made Season 9 -_-
If you ask me the 9th Season of Scrubs doesn't exist.
The 9th season of Scrubs is not Scrubs. However, it was still really good and I don't see what people have against it. I would happily watch at least a few more seasons of Lucy, Cole, Drew and Denise. They are awesome characters.

Easy, Green Wing!

Unbelievably good show, hilariously funny, got sillier and sillier and ultimately left you longing for more. Also made you actually empathise with and care about the characters far far far more than many supposedly amazing movies. Same plot line as A Walk to Remember basically, but at the end of it you actually gave a crock of sh*te!!!

One of my all time faves!!!

MASH and Soprano's ended fairly well and completely
Stewie: And while we're on the subject HBO deserves a whack for ending the Sorpanos on a F*CKING CUT TO BLACK *shoots camera*
The ending was actually supposed to go on for a bit longer before the cut and make it seem more likely Tony got killed. They cut that out because they're idiots or something.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand and its prequel, Gods of the Arena.

With the changes in the cast and the lack of John Hannah's character I fear for season 2 though.

I really like the BSG ending. The final scene, showing how the new humans could advance continually without reinitiating the cycle of creation and destruction. Yes, it was a bit sad, but would you really expect a show that started out with genocide to end with everybody frolicking through the woods?

Yeah, I really liked Scrubs Med School, too. Every time I see Dave Franco show up in anything, I laugh. There was a show on showtime that no one but me seemed to watch called Brotherhood. It was about a mobster and his politician brother in Rhode Island. Jason Isaacs played the criminal and he was amazingly scary. It was canceled after only three seasons, but it wrapped up really nicely.

Prison Break should have ended after season 2, like they originally planned. Not to say it didn't end well despite that, but it was certainly dragged out for 2 more seasons just because they could.

Personally I'd have to go with the general consensus and say Blackadder. Just watched it again thanks to someone linking it via youtube and it made me tear up. Admittedly I am a little drunk though.
