I named my computer Navi for obvious reasons...<.<
I'd say about one in every 144 users who look in this topic actually get that reference (unless Serial Experiments Lain is far more popular than I thought).

OT: Mine is named Oliver.
well, you got it didn't you?
Well, that's one, still waiting on the 145th person after me.
Be it 146th, I saw that anime and it was wierd as hell.

OT: I haven't named my PC yet, BUT I use another word to name my pc's network and I may use it to name my whole PC: Baketas.

i need to learn to do that
1. get a program called GCFScrape
2. use it to open "Steam\SteamApps\portal english.gcf"
3. In GCFScrape navigate to "Root\portal\sound\npc\"
4. Right click the folder "turret_floor" and left click extract.
5. Exit GCFScrape and go to where you extracted it, all the sounds will be their.
6. the sounds all have nondescript names so it pays to listen to each one and rename it so you know which is which.
7. Next go to the "control Panel" and open "Sounds and Devices" (make sure its in classic view if using vista or win 7) and go to the "Sounds" tab.
8. Select an event to assign a sound to, left click "browse...", open the sound file you want to attach, then click the little arrow to make sure you picked the right one.
9. Repeat the step 8 until you have assigned all the sounds you want. (you don't need to put a sound to every event.
10. Click "Apply"

and your done
Questions?

My computers are all named Helveska.
So right now, my computer is named Helveska the Second.

Because I'm a D.Gray-Man nerd.

All my computers are named "Mine!".
It is my homage to an excellent movie, and my favourite characters of all time (animated).
the seagulls in Finding Nemo are awesome.

My desktop is Cthulhu, because it is a behemoth.

My laptop is Ricky Bobby. It's kind of retarded most of the time, but pulls through when you need it.

I don't "name" my computers in the sense that I refer to them by said names, but since all Windows boxes have to have a name for purposes of identifying them on a network, every since my first laptop 10 years ago I've been naming them after summons in Final Fantasy games. I haven't liked or played any of the FF games in quite a while, but I still have "Bahamut" and "Ifrit."
Nice so tempted to ninja this or use pokémon names

I name them after the case they're in. My current one is Ammo, after the Cooler Master Ammo 553 that's wrapped around it.

I took to naming computers I built myself after Egyptian gods, so, i had Horus, then Osiris.
But now that I use laptops, I've moved to Drow names, so the current one is Xundrin, and the next will probably be called Dobluth.

Mine's named AR-15. Named after a nutty robot character in a show I wrote that we used for a "they killed Kenny"-like running gag.

I've made building computers something of a small hobby, so there's actually a few:

My "main" computer is named Pres (short for Presario), pronounced like the first part of Priscilla.
About a year ago, I built a small Linux (flavor: Mint) computer named Sophia.
For Christmas, I built my roommate a gaming rig (financed by her very generous brother) named Big Blue. Before Big Blue, my roommate was using a former friend's computer which I dubbed Big Black, now presently in pieces under my desk as the case was defective and I haven't decided whether to buy a new case or just upgrade Pres with Black's motherboard. I mean, Pres was new in 2004, cannot run Trine even on the lowest settings, and I'd really like to play Singularity, so I'm definitely going to be making a decision on that very soon.

My computer is named Betty, and it's like a grandma. It's always there for you when you need it, and sometimes it shits in it's pants.
:O YOU NINJA...my computer is named Betty....but only because she has flames and if this was 1970 she would be a caddie with flames on it....she is a monster...12 gigs of ram TO DO WHATEVER I WANT
Mine has a mighty 2gb and has been running for over 10 years! I replaced the insides on several occasions but it can only take you so far.

I have a new one but am having troubles adapting to windows 7...

This may sound a little silly, but do any of you feel a strong enough attachment to your rig to the point where you feel like it needs its own name to give it character? If so, what would you name your PC if you haven't already, I haven't.
My computer is ALWAYS Named "WOPR"

my Wii is named WOPR
my 360 HDD is named WOPR
and my PC is named WOPR
