Tucker Carlson was just asking questions though, as to why the Democrates are so evil that maybe they should be attacked with a hammer.
When you look at their backstory it all seems to add up. Also I would blame her daughter being a unprofessional film maker and recording her mothers life.![]()
Intruder attacks Pelosi's husband, calling, 'Where is Nancy'
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul, was “violently assaulted” by an assailant who broke into their San Francisco home, her spokesperson said.apnews.com
Yikes. Regardless of what people think of her or by extension him, shit’s getting increasingly out of hand.
I'm not going to blame Pelosi for the attack, but i honestly don't have a lot of sympathy for her or her husband. They're one of the major reasons that San Francisco is as fucked up as it is, and they're both obviously guilty of insider trading to an absurd degree but get to avoid the jail-time any normal person would receive because of their political power. In before one of the right wingers around here tries to find some way to blame Nancy Pelosi for the attack.
I'd really rather than right wing violence wasn't a thing, but since it's a thing I would rather it be directed at politicians rather than against random innocent people.![]()
Paul Pelosi Is Undergoing Skull Surgery After Being Attacked with Hammer in His Home: Report
According to U.S. Capitol Police, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was in Washington, D.C. with her protective detail at the time that her husband, Paul Pelosi, was attackedpeople.com
This is fucked, and the sad part is this is going to become more of a political reality.
It already was directed at random innocent people, but now that it's also directed at politicians it only means even more random innocent people are going to get targeted. There's no lesser of two evils in this situation, only escalation of evil.I'd really rather than right wing violence wasn't a thing, but since it's a thing I would rather it be directed at politicians rather than against random innocent people.
It's cute and all to act like the issue is a politicians "politics" but really the things they do have actual real profound effects on the lives of people amd many times they activily choose to harm people to enrich themselves. I'm not saying I support this but the idea that "democracy" will alwys win and we should never resort to violence is a childish one. There's no way for the US to vote itself out of the situation it's in now faster than thousands or millions of people are going to have their lives ruined or ended.Regardless of how one might think about her politics,
Slow your roll, John Sheridan. It's cute and all to act like the issue is a politicians "politics" but really the things they do have actual real profound effects on the lives of people amd many times they activily choose to harm people to enrich themselves. Edit : Particularly when you don't actually live in a democracy.
I'm guessing there's another John Sheridan besides the Irish football player. ..Slow your roll, John Sheridan.
One also notes the founding myth of the United States was an extreme act of violence against the existing state, and the possibility of improving things by doing so again is one of the myths of their current society's foundation.I'm guessing there's another John Sheridan besides the Irish football player. ..
To be clear I'm not saying violence is good. I'm certainly not saying we should hurt the elderly and the defenceless. But the idea that it's just about different opinions is childish, and comes from a place of privilege. Look at what's happening to trans youth in Florida? Look at the amount of children droned to death in the middle east? Hell if you're in America people literally die because they can't afford medical treatment and that system is that way on purpose. There is violence carried out on people, knowingly, by the government everyday. If somebody who is in those positions decides that they're not going to stand by and let themselves be killed I can't say I blame them.
That doesn't mean I approve any and all acts of violence.
The founding of my country was an act of violence. And the state ended up almost exactly how the people who fought and died predicted it would. One also notes the founding myth of the United States was an extreme act of violence against the existing state, and the possibility of improving things by doing so again is one of the myths of their current society's foundation.
Might be worth reminding that this guy was motivated by beliefs nowhere near any of those founded in the realities you mention. It's born of a particular push of violent rhetoric and fantasy in modern conspiracy circles that ppl have been trying to warn others of for years now. The revolutionary violence you speak of requires a lot more shared desperation, cunning and coordination before those who honestly seek a healthier system are willing to escalate to such levels. And even then, it's ppl like Michael Flynn and co who are already well on their ways to sabotaging the remaining husk of democratic sway, because they have the Christo-fascist drive whereas progressives consistently lean towards de-escalation outside of aforementioned shared desperation etc etc.I'm guessing there's another John Sheridan besides the Irish football player. ..

Sure but attacks like this don't happen because the culprit thinks these politicians are doing harm. They happen because the culprit doesn't think the victims do enough harm. It's cute and all to act like the issue is a politicians "politics" but really the things they do have actual real profound effects on the lives of people amd many times they activily choose to harm people to enrich themselves.
