Yeah yeah I know. Clone thread 3000.

Ones Ive seen, in no particular order are:

Elfin Lied
Code Geass
Hellsing
Hellsing OVA
Vampire + Rosario
Blood+
Vampire Knight
Bleach
Air Gear
Avatar:The Last Airbender
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Claymore
Evangelion
Eureka Seven
Full Metal Alchemist
Ghost In The Shell
Mnemosyne
Naruto
Fooly Cooly

I've also seen one which opens with 2 guys in plate armour which can turn into planes are fighting around a statue, one in black armour (good guy) one in white, the guy in white wins. Its done in a very unique animation style. If you've seen it you know what Im on about.

/edit/ Ty Salamander Joe the anime's name is Karas /edit/

So, any suggestions. Im not really after marathon animes here. 50-100 eps max please.

EDIT: No I haven't seen the Death Note anime :p In my defence, I have seen the live action films however :D

As always, I will recommend Clannad and Clannad After Story. Not only is it simply a beautiful anime, it is by far the most touching anime out there. You will cry, and you will cry lots.

EDIT: Also, like the other people said, make sure you watch it with subs.

To Aru Majutsu no Index is very heartwarming in my opinion. Also got good characters and fluid animation with nice action. Even the Spin-Off with a different P.O.V. was great. Extra deliciousness assured if you can juggle tropes.
I've heard a second season is coming out this month, continuing the storyline where the cliff hanger was pointing at some great scheme, so the real fun is still ahead of us (or those who can't read the Japanese light novels it's based on).

If you can stand bad Engrish then you should watch Black Lagoon.
If not then you really shouldn't be watching anime.
Oh and Gundam is decent. Which one? Any one they're all about the same.

Death Note, but I'm mainly saying that because I'm re-watching it.

RIN: Daughters of Mnemosyne is a good watch, though the sex is a bit annoying.

Calumon: If you want you could watch the one with me. Digimon Tamers! ^^

Avatar: The Last Airbender is not anime. It's fully American. The animation is partially inspired by anime, the mythology by Hinduism, the culture by China, but it is fully and completely an American show. It's also the best freaking show I have ever seen in my life. Just had to point that out. "Anime" is Japanese animation. If it's not Japanese, it's not anime.

OT: See Clannad. It's an amazing romance/comedy/drama show that will not only make you laugh, but will make you cry. I don't care if you've never cried in a movie, the last fourth of this show (basically the last half of the second and final season) will have you in constant tears. This has been true for everyone I've shown it to. Everyone.

As ever, I'd recommend Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, and the second season, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai :3
Subbed, of course. The dubbing is just painful. Ruins it.

God damn I know this one! KARAS!! I knew I recognised that armour...

EDIT: I think someone has mentioned it but Black Lagoon is short but very sweet.

The anime 'Skip Beat' is absolutely wonderful.

In addition, I can also highly recommend 'Welcome to the NHK' and 'Nodame Cantabile'. Those are all among my personal favorites.

Yup, go watch it. You're missing out, OP.

Other good ones include:
Welcome to the NHK.
Angel beats.
School days.
Lucky star.

Cat Shit One

Trust me, it's a hoot.
Apocalypse Meow? Where the Japanese are monkeys, British and Aussies are hamsters, Americans are bunnies and Viet Cong/Charlie are cats? I did like that too yeah and I'd recommend it too!

I'd also like to add Chrono Crusade, Last Exile and Madlax. Underdogs perhaps but I feel they knock a lot of overrated stuff out of the park. Oh and the Gundam 08th MS Team

Ohh OP your Talking about Karas.
That's an excellent Anime and if you haven't finished it id suggest you do so.
Its made by the Animation company Tatsunoko, a very influential company.

anyway id suggest.
Rurouni Kenshin(I think about 98 episodes)
Vandread(26 episodes)
Samurai Deeper Kyo(Not sure how many episodes but its less than 50)
Tekkaman Blade(Another anime done by Tatsunoko, its an older one though, 49 episodes and 3 OVAs)
G Gundam(if its not the Gundam you have already seen)
Samurai 7(I think it was about 26-29 episodes)
Sword of the Stranger(Its a Movie, but a freaking good one)
And The Gokusen.(Don't remember how many but it was less than 50)

All are really good anime and will keep you interested.

Clanned is very good.

If you want a great laugh, School Rumble is the best!
