Fallout 3: New Vegas runs in the exact same engine, it's an expansion pack. As is Brotherhood.
Did Yahtzee tell you to say that?
No, it's just my personal opinion on the topic. We happen to be in agreement. Actually, what you said about those other series are not far from the truth, I jsut cut the more slack since they're older.

Ratchet and clank a crack in time

as soon as i got the hover boots THE WRENCH (the weapon only used to break crates in the other games) suddenly becomes my most usefull weapon

and all those creativly designed weapons go to waste for 99% of the game

FF9 goes all to the hell the second you challenge someone to a card game.
This.

Also, the horrible mess of tiresome, unavoidable combat in Curst, Planescape: Torment.

Terranigma's... everything, gameplay-wise, but especially Sylvain Castle.

Sacrifice: The late game Pyro missions. Maddening.

Sid Meier's Railroads on the hardest difficulties, Tycoon and Mogul.
They're not more challenging, they just buy more of their own stock so it costs more money to buy them out. They don't buy or build more aggressively than they do in easier settings.

Team Fortress 2: Annoying respawn wave times and autobalance.
Respawn times have modifiers relative to the number of control points on the map, or the networked entities that govern the flags or the cart(s). However the thing that has the biggest say on respawn time is server-side scripts, so it's usually the server's fault, not the map.
Autobalance, RTV, votekick and RTD are also server-side scripts.

Sorry if I caused any offense, but what was it that I said? Not quite sure what you're ignoring.

There is really nothing to do after you get 100%
Of course, that's the definition of 100% completion.

If my only complaint about a game is that it is too short, then the game usually good. There are of course exceptions when the game is so short it doesn't have time to do anything else wrong.

Xenogears. disc 2.
Disc 2, has some of the best boss battles, dungeons, side quests, mini-games, and plot of any RPG ...yet so very clearly unfinished and flawed. The wall of scrolling text with its own save points makes the cutscenes in Xenosaga seem brief. Though probably the moment during this sequence that really makes me sad is when they state in one sentence in the wall of scrolling text that our heroes went to a really cool dungeon and completed the mission --pointing out that you're not going to get to play it. Oh well, that's what happens when a game runs out of budget before it finishes.

Still, Xenogears is my favorite RPG game even with those glaring flaws, as it still manages to succeed in more areas than other games even attempt, it just doesn't succeed across the board. If you prefer playing a flawless RPG, try Chrono Trigger.

Your sentry almost dead? Fuck you, you have to wait 20 seconds before you can even spawn.

You put all your strength and frustration into pushing the cart? Fuck you, your efforts are now counter productive, you now have to stop the cart.

oh no you have insulted tf2 on the escapist!!!! prepare for fanboy backlash even if your point is legit

Terranigma is. . .well I have to be honest and say that A) I think it's the best SNES game by far, and B) It's one of my all time favorite, if not my over all-time favorite.

I approve. Big time. The title says favourite video game, after all, so I'm with you there. I just see its flaws (or what I consider flaws), that's all. I may have exaggerated by saying that the gameplay as a whole is bad, I admit. Still, the magic system and leveling system - namely, the huge power gaps from level to level - do get annoying. Mostly since I really hate grinding, and it's absolutely necessary at a few points in this game (once again, Sylvain castle, even if level design there was solid gold).

Anyway, sorry if that bothered you, should've made it a bit clearer. It's certainly one of my favourites, especially on the SNES. Just has a few issues. People saying the story is terrible, though? I don't get that, I really don't.

What was the moment where you realized that there was a flaw (maybe fatal) with your (perhaps) favorite game? Mine was the ending to Borderlands. Shame.
This, this exactly it was that moment that I realized that it really was done. When it takes a min. or two to realize that a game has finished, thats crap.

When Shinji in Persona 3 Fes died. Cuase then I realized if i wanted to use his weapon set, I'd have to use it for the second half of the game, and that pissed me off, because he had a really good weapon set. And Arcana.

Bioshock 2 was a very good game to me. However, with my achievement neurosis, I can't help but try to get 1400/1400 on the game, which for decent players takes at least 4 somewhat thorough playthroughs. I mean, the endings ain't as emotional if you've seen them ALL at least once, and single-player campaigns shouldn't force you to milk 'em for 100+ of hours of replay value. Perfecting Bs2 would also require you to spend an expletive amount of time on Multiplayer, which incidentally is the same beef I have with Reach and AssCreedBro. Still, they're fun enough to preoccupy me (barely) until I do get the achievements, so I guess that's the silver lining. But no FATAL flaws in otherwise good games I can think of.

Half way thru Indigo Prophecy it just goes fucking crazy.
That. And when monsters appear in Uncharted. There was absolutely no sign of anything paranormal until the 90% point. And then those annoying fucks show up and turn the game into Resident Evil. Lame.
Actually there is one or two hints but they happen several hours before the monsters pop up. It could have been handled much, much better. Although while i was playing it i kept thinking that Resident Evil 5 should have played more like this

When the Oblivion gates started appearing in Oblivion. Admit it - no one enjoyed doing those things.
