About star wars, sure it doesn't sound so bad but what about if its in the middle of a lesson out loud across the table next to a girl, I'd say that's pretty bad

Probably when me and a couple of mates sat down with the scripts of star wars episode 4-6 and fully converted them to porn scripts and spent about an hour or two arguing about what porn names fitted each and every character.

Also when I explained to a fellow star wars geek how and why most of the lightsaber styles are silly and if they tried to use them in real life they would quickly lose to someone that did not hold his sword like a retarded monkey.

Me: There are no other animals in Pokemon, they ARE the animals.
Boyfriend: That isn't possible. You see fish in the show.
Me: In the show, not the game.
Boyfriend: Okay, but other animals have to exist. There's no way a natural ecosystem could survive with so few insects and insects that large.
Me: ...
Boyfriend: It's not possible, scientifically speaking.
I seem to recall some early Pokedex entries regarding certain Pokemon not getting along with household pets and small children. I believe one of them was Ekans? Anyway, they seem to have thrown that in the garbage now that there are so many of them... Speaking of the show, does anyone remember what happened to the GS ball?

I regularly spend a weekend with my friends Lua, Python, Perl, HTML, batch, C++ and a guy name Thomas...

Oh, and there are the times where I terminate the fun of smalltalk/movies/gaming/w/e. with "That is SO improbalbe, it conflics in so many ways with [name of scientific theory/ruleset]"

And the my usual "I have been thinking..." Followed be either: how and which superpowers would be awesome, which superhero could beat which, how you might design a superweapon, etc. etc.

Then there was the argument I had with a friend about how to be an evil overlord and not getting my ass kicked by the hero.

Am I the only one who thinks of the Venture Bros. episode where 21 and 24 are arguing about whether or not smurfs lay eggs?
Or when they're debating who would win in a fight: Anne Frank or Lizzie Borden? :D

My friend and I played Left 4 Dead all day, and then we took a cab out to the bar later that night. During the cab ride we kept talking about what we would do next if a bunch of zombies or a Tank or something attacked the cab. The driver must have been like "...WTF?"

Don't know if it's nerdy, but I was once in an argument about ketchup: is it a sauce, a dressing or simply in it's own group(i.e. ketchup)? What's hilarious about that was that we got quite angry during this discussion and started to verbally abuse eachother...

My fiance and I had a very heated debate on whether or not Stormtroopers were capable of independant thought. I think I realized that he was my perfect match after that. We've also had long discussions about WoW (this class vs that one, pvp vs pve players, etc).

He is a huge fan of anything and everything zombie and we will often spend hours discussing where we'd go, who we'd bring and what weapons are best during a Zombie Apocapalypse.

Possibly going up to a hot girl and saying "THE BLUE LEADS FOR MY PENCILS CAME TODAY!" *GLEEEEEEE* before skipping away...

What? Blue leads have significantly improved the standard of my art...

Beyond that, me and my mate had a rather argument about whether being punched by a bear would technically be a kick to the face...

"EVER BEEN PUNCHED BY A FOOT?! IT HURTS!!"

Either applying actual physics to telekinesis to explain how once Sylar from heroes got telekinesis he could pretty much do anything thus making most of his other powers redundant, or an awesome moment with my mate of synchronised bullshitting, where we managed to change a conversation with a mate who hates RPGs and wargames into talking about how the wizard class is overpowered in 4th ed D+D and the fighter got nerfed after 3.5, and comparing trolls to ogres in 3.5 and 4th, even though neither of us have ever played D+D (I'm a warhammer player and he's a WoW player so we have enough of a working knowledge of fantasy games to make some pretty convincing bullshit)

Me and my mates were combining advenced higher chemistry and dragon ball z, the saddest quote of which was: HIS ACTIVATION ENERGY IS OVER 9000!!!, had to beat a 5th year just to cleanse myself of the nerdiness

*Cries*

Why!? why taint chemistry with the terror that is Dragonball Z.

I Took chemistry to escape this sort of thing and then you combine them?!

Curse you, Dastardly Fiend!

I had an hour long discussion last week with some friends about which comic book characters would win in a fight. We eventually started arguing about who would win in a Joker vs. Rorschach match up. The worst part of all this was how heated the whole thing got.

And one of my biggest pet peeves about shows like CSI is where the forensic experts explain procedures to each other and what they accomplish. I understand that they're explaining what is going on so that the audience can know what's happening, but if they're all forensic scientists they shouldn't need to explain to each other how to do a DNA test. I don't know why, but it really bugs me.

Depends really, I prefer not to use such a term, but if I were to pick one moment ... probably the many moments where I told obscure tales from the Silmarillion or the appendicies of The Lord of the Rings

A conversation was uncontrollably spiraling downwards to D&D (of which my only experience has been the Baldur's Gate series). One guy said I have no idea how the game works. I explained the damage system to him and got blank stares from everyone in the room. In the room was a rugby player, a football player, a few other jocks, and a metro type of guy. FML.
