Taking the best gameplay mechanics of the lastest groundbreaking Starwars extravaganza, defeat Batmans greatest villians in the toughest locations through the medium of dance.
Aha, I forgot I hadn't completed arkham city completely yet...that last catwoman bit had me quite stumped as to how I was supposed to get through the museum, and I forgot all about it. Thanks for clearing that up, anyhow.
And don't forget, there was also a hidden Scarecrow section in the boat and Croc's empty cell too. So there is definitely plenty of foreshadowing of another sequel. That one domain that said "grand delusion" definitely sounds like a Scarecrow thing. My guess is he will be the primary villain for the next one. Considering the best parts of Asylum are the Scarecrow sections, it makes sense to me.
This. I was so disappointed when Scarecrow didn't turn up, but this has given me hope! Also Clayface fell into the Lazarus Pit at the end so I wanna see what could come of that...
@ RJ 17 - ...Have you ever picked up a Batman comic? Anyone who's read at all knows Bane is the one who let ALL of the villains out of the Asylum in the first place. The plots in the video games aren't even real arcs in the comic books dude... if it wasn't for Bane then Joker would of never gotten out. Or the Scarecrow, or Ivy, or Two Face or the Riddler. There would be noone. Might I add, by the way, Bane was the only one who actually broke Bruce Wayne? Yeah, he found him at his mansion, and he snapped his spine in two. He was in a wheelchair for a long time with Azrael took over as the new Batman...sounds like you have no idea what you're talking about.
I read about a movie tie in game, might be nothing to get excited over, personally I'd love to see them a do a good Superman game like they said, but didn't they pick up TMNT?
Please...please let it be that cancelled steampunk batman game. As for a leading villain...Wow...in the arkham storyline, we're kinda running out of major league villains, huh?
Croc's dead (despite a secret in arkham city suggesting he's somewhere in the sewers although he never personally appears to my knowledge), he ate scarecrow (presumably, anyway), hugo strange is dead, rahs al ghul (sp?) is dead, the goddamned joker...For a non lethal hero, bats is racking up quite the body count.
The details of the latest (spoilerific) DLC suggest harley quinn might be next up, but I'm not sure whether she can really hold up a main antagonist role.
What about the riddler? Thing is, it'd be hard for the riddler to pose a large scale threat without either straying from his MO or making the entire game a string of puzzles.
So yeah...not sure where to go with main atagonists here, but just...make it steampunk. Then, presumably, we don't have to worry about the new villain? C'mon...you get a slightly easier to write story, we get that badass steambat, win win, rocksteady/WB.
Croc is alive in Arkham City, you can find him and have a pleasant conversation with him at a certain point in the game. Scarecrow's hideout can be found in Arkham(there's also the hidden messages in the sequencer), Ras' is immortal he really just can't die.
There is still a plenty of chance for a sequel for Arkham City
Scarecrow's cryptic messages in the radiowaves
Ra's corpse is missing
Hush is off trying to frame Bruce Wayne
Azrael's little prophecy about Batman burning in the flames of Gotham
Clayface falling in a Lazarus pit
Poison Ivy is kinda pissed about Catwoman breaking her plants and wants to take it out on Gotham
Joker could return, this is comic book logic after all and he is a major villain for the DC universe
Plus there's a good load of villains mentioned or referenced in the Arkham series (Firefly, Crazy Quilt, Killer Moth, Great White Shark, Prometheus etc.)
A showdown with Hush at some point. He could make an interesting enemy, posing as many important people. Plus there are a few more villains who dropped off the radar with no real conclusion
But still, Batman has a library full of enemies, probably more than anyone else. The next one may not be as iconic as someone like Joker, but for hardcore fans its a great way to see lesser known characters and for beginners a great way to introduce them.

Well they'll most likely use Azrael's prohpecy as a story. There 4 clues suggesting Scarecrow is planning something huge. They can always get Red Hood which is great! and Hush's mission was about to start something really awesome
I'm all aboard for a third game, these Batman games are one of my favorite game series.
Also, Ashes of Gotham is an excellent title.
