"Stealth" was boring and stupid in that game. Apparently, if you just crouch your knees, you become invisible to anyone around you. I literally had a guard push me out of the way once (ie, get stuck on me until my character moved), but when I clicked out of sneaking, he arrested me.

Ya there were many times when I was trespassing in a house, and the owner of the house was standing about a foot away from me and looking directly at me, but didn't see me cos I was crouching in what passed as shadow...
