I only discovered Children of Bodom about 4 months ago, and I listen to their music non-stop.

Recently fell in love with a band that's gone completely under my radar until I saw them at a local shindig called "the Malmö Festival". They're called Johnossi, a Swedish rock duo. For being just two guys, they manage to get a surprisingly rich sound; I think they're great. Check them out:

The amount of people whose favourite band are The Killers surprises me. Their music is OK, but it's such generic indie music.

I don't think it's too generic, but most everything after the first album has been decidedly underwhelming.

A few months ago I heard about these two Texans calling themselves Stars of the Lid. Turns out they've been around for years. So onto iTunes I went and spunked all my money on their back catalogue. Listening to them is like injecting laudanum into one's ears.

Not a recent discovery, but a re-discovery - Dinosaur Jr.

I had a couple of their albums in the 90s but completely forgot about them until Feel The Pain turned up in Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band 2... then completely forgot about them again until a couple of their songs were announced for DLC on Rock Band a few weeks ago. That prompted me to go back and listen to some of their old stuff again, which made me buy it on the spot. Freak Scene made it into my iTunes all-time top 40 most played within two days.

Coheed and Cambria. I can't go a day without listening to something of theirs.

I am very much with you. C&C are amazing. But I'm going to add the Cab aswell, I love them atm.
