Here is the first trailer to the new Gears of War game, set for release in 2011.

To be honest I think it looks a bit 'meh', but regardless I'll be keeping an eye on this.

I thought the most important part of this trailer was the fact that you had the lambent locusts attacking both you and the regular locusts, well at least to me that proved to be the most intriguing part.

Looks brilliant. Sadly so has every other Gears of War trailer and the games are never anything like them, just look at the 'Rendezvous' one then play Gears of War 2...

It won't stop me buying it though, let's just hope it's more like Gears of War than the sequel.

Yup it is. But this time it's actually beautiful to look at. (keep in mind I have nothing against the games just I find the trailers for them to generally be crap)

It's Anya Stroud, the woman on the radio in Gears 1 and 2.

COG's are not needed to be huge, that whole thing is just aesthetic, like TF2's over the top style.

Bad News: I think they scraped the wretches and took a more arachnid approach. I can tell those things are going to be annoying in horde mode.

The last time we saw Dizzy he was fighting Skorge so I wouldn't hold out much hope of hime surviving that encounter considering what happened to Tai.
