'Gaming since 2006'

Man, the years fly by.

Anyway, welcome to the escapist, enjoy your stay and make all cheques payable to 'Daystar Clarion'
Gaming since 1998.

Born 1995.

I'm quite proud of that! :D

Edit: And I just read your post directly above mine...

If it helps, I started with the original Sonic, then pokemon.

Am I the only one disturbed that the first game this guy played was Oblivion, a 15 rated game where I am...when he was 7?
DON'T KIDS TODAY PLAY MARIO ANYMORE?

Anyway, welcome, and stay out of the basement.

Welcome.
Here's some advice to help your stay become more pleasant.
1: Avoid the gimp.

2: If you really must use the gimp, make sure to wash it first.

3: Since you are 13, be aware that this is a "speak-freely" website, meaning that you can swear and use crude words all you want, as long as you don't insult anyone. Reason I am saying this is that you might not be aware what a gimp is.

4: Avoid the political&religious threads unless you really, really know what you are talking about.

5: Read the posting-rules.

6: Since most people forget them, remember the most common mistakes: Don't double-post, don't post something that is only an image.

7: The Escapist crashes on Wednesday. it's Yahtzee's fault.

8: If you make a topic, please be clear on what that topic is about. Don't have a topic-name with something like "You know what annoys me.." or "Am I the only one that finds this disturbing?". If you don't, you'll be eaten by a Grue.

9: Research Grues, and how to protect yourself from them.

Welcome to the escapist, to your left on both sides of the forum is the emergency exit doors, however, currently our flight will be taking place above a bottomless pit of spikes. Note that the only way to get your account removed is by mod-wrath who are gracious people and wonder-es with their infinite wisdom. Note that we are currently in a very large turbulence of fans raging over the ending to Mass Effect Three, we hope that no one decides to jump into the turbulence because you can't fly. Thank you and enjoy your flight on Escapist air, with our inflight movies containing Zero Punctuation, Miracles of Sound, Jim Punctuation [lets out frustated sigh] and Movie Bob's two shows Escape to the Movies and The Big Question. Please ask your nearest attendant for some reading material.

No seriously stay out, I think the doorway is a portal to Yog-Sothoth, or Cthulhu. Either way stay out.
Someone really should brick up that basement door, we've been wasting time warning people about it for years when we could have been doing something about it!

Anyway, welcome. I'm not about much but I'm sure the regulars will make your stay a pleasant one
what have you people got against the basement? It's fun down there, full of bunnys and happiest and dont worry if you have a tentacle when you come back out, they tend to go away in a few days. This tail wont go away though and it keeps getting in the way

I wish I didn't...

You realise as well that you have just cause a young innocent mind to yearch 'gimp' onto his laptop... Man... that is cruel! :p

Anyway: OT:

Good day and I hope you enjoy your stay...

Have fun on the various forum, and I would advise to stay clear of being sucked into any forms of arguements... As a rule I follow: If a thread makes a point that it seems that everyone and his dog is angrily arguing against... its probably not worth adding to, unless you really do feel you have a flawless arguement to diffuse the situation...

Another helpful tip... on the internet there is no such thing as a situation diffusing flawless arguement...! :/

Also... check this out... (Poe's Law... may help at somepoint... definately worth knowing about!)

You know, better he learns it from us, in a controlled environment, than from the gimps on the street.

Greetings, good sir!
You'll probably end up spending a decent amount of time here if you find these forums as warm and fuzzy as I do.

Also: wow, you make me feel old. I'm 21 and my first game was Super Mario Land on the GameBoy back in '96.

Welcome! I'm another of those friendly mods, if you have any questions feel free to PM. And make sure to read the rules, I'd hate to have to see you on the queue. There are a lot of stickied guides in the Off topic forums designed for new users, I'd recommend giving those a reading.

Actually it's just my room. Though, it's still just as dangerous.

Welcome.
Make sure to read the forum rules [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/codeofconduct], or your stay will certainly be a short one.

Oh, and a lot of people don't realize that you're allowed to swear as much as you fucking like here, provided you're not swearing at some cunting twat you've gotten yourself into a flamewar with.

And if you want to reply to a specific post, remember to press the 'quote' button. This makes that person receive a message saying they've been quoted.

And even though it's already been said, I believe it is my duty to inform you that this is a blatant lie.

And remember to stay out of the basement. It is a foul place.

Lastly: Seeing as you are a new user, I must ask of you to click this button.

Note that if you continue to yoink on the flight attendant, he or she will start to enjoy it and I'm sure you wouldn't like it. Also note that sexual rape on the internet is not acceptable and will land you on top of a spike.

OT: Don't do anything stupid and you'll be fine. Alternately, do something incredibly stupid and you'll provide us with days of entertainment.

Wow, good idea. That's a really nice thing to show to a new user. Pretty much the best welcoming gift ever.
I wish I'd thought of it myself.

I guess all I can do is present him with the other button as well.
That's right.
You see, OP, the buttons are pretty much a secret known to only the older posters.
I decided to be charitable and give you a bit of a head start in the forums.
[sub]Don't you dare screw this up for me, Redlin. I need to see his pain.[/sub]
