New L4D2 specials?

I don't think the Wandering Witch will count as a new Special; rather, I hope it'll be just a variant of the Witch, so that way there's like a 50-50 chance that any Witch could be a Wandering Witch. Plus it means we get one extra Special.

Really. That kinda defeats the purpose of having an A.I Director if he can't randomize the time.

So far I know they updated him. Now the levels will no longer be linear. The map will function as a giant maze with dead ends. One playthrough and you could find the path on your next attempt the path you took could be blocked off and you would be forced to find the new path.

I was hoping they'd bring in /only/ new infected for this game...
That way it wouldn't seem like L4D2 was just a mod for L4D with new maps + enemies.
I'd get bored with the same old tank and hunter.
I can't really explain the feeling I have about keeping the old infected... It's just that if L4D2 has the old maps /and/ the old infected, then I'll have no reason to play the older game.
Which will make me sad...

The Spiker, true to his name, has spikes all over his body. Like the boomer, he will rush into the group of survivors and then unleash all of his spikes into the group. Actually not this. The one I saw was like 7 minutes and seemed to involve a crescendo in a swamp on stilt huts but this conveys the general idea.

In my opinion that is the single greatest addition to L4D2. I think it makes the game more intense, keeps you on your toes, and makes for a different game every time you play.

As far as i have seen there are 3 new boses:
1. Charger: a normal zombie with a mutated right arm which he uses to grab and ram and beat in his prey, is able to sprint for a certian amount of time straight into prey.
2. Spitter: female zombie with extremly long neck and spits acid at prey draining health and blinging slightly.
£. Hazmat: a large zombie with a hazmat suit on which makes it risistance to fire and can live without dying when on fire making it very dangerous to its prey.

As far as im aware thats what ive read and seen, it all looks quite scary to be honest and im looking forward to playing it.

The Hazmat zombies (as far as I know) do not count as a special infected, I believe Valve is referring to them as "Uncommon-Common infected".

They also announced each stage will have specific infected like Mudmen (infected that hide in the mud and travel on all fours) for swamp fever. I think the Hazmat guys are one of these as well.

aside from that all ive heard is about the charger and spitter. spiker sounds cool/dangerous, if it proves to be true.

The "screamer" probably won't be in the game, it was an idea for the first release of L4D, but they changed it into the Boomer because it was bad for versus play.

The two confirmed Special Infected are the Charger and the Spitter, however I've seen on a site dedicated to L4D2 that there will be 4 new special infected?
