Well, she also "died" in part one as well, if I remember correctly. I am not sure that proves anything...Art Axiv said:If I remember correctly she died in part 2.HankMan said:I wonder if Mona will come back in this one to?
Do you mean hobo-Max, or are you talking about the first Conviction design for Sam Fisher? Because I liked that too. He turned into Vincent from Collateral in the final version which, whilst fucking cool, didn't really look like Sam Fisher. He's like a 6'0" fucking bear in Double Agent, yet he seems to lose height and retain a perfectly muscular (*he says matter-of-factly, and certainly not homoerotically*) body in Conviction.Irridium said:Aw... I actually didn't mind overweight hobo-Sam. Mainly because there was a male protagonist that doesn't have a perfect body. Ah well, I'm just nitpicking.
Still though, very cautious about this game.
Err, actually, he's still bald:Scott Bullock said:snip

It's always nice to have another Sam Fisher.
See above.Tdc2182 said:I was kinda diggin the bald (maybe not fat) Max.
Reminded me of a less racist Mel Gibson.
Umm yeah. Thats not Max Payne then. Might as well post some fanfic.Scott Bullock said:It will be the first game in the Max Payne series to not be developed by Remedy Entertainment and written by Sam Lake, the creator of the series, which has stirred some doubt amongst fans as to how the it will stand up next to the previous installments.
I was just about to mention how misleading this article is, considering that the two screenshots show him with AND without hair. I was actually looking forward to this game because he looked like an overweight mess. It makes him look more realistic considering what he had been through. I hope the picture with hair is some sort of flashback level or something.Woodsey said:Do you mean hobo-Max, or are you talking about the first Conviction design for Sam Fisher? The picture you guys have up is of a grunt I assume, or a story character.
Hobo-Max. But early-Conviction Sam Fisher was also pretty cool.Woodsey said:Do you mean hobo-Max, or are you talking about the first Conviction design for Sam Fisher? Because I liked that too. I'm sure the one with hair isn't him. Honestly, from the game's art work and a couple of older screens, the facial features seem quite different - the nose in particular.goliath6711 said:I was just about to mention how misleading this article is, considering that the two screenshots show him with AND without hair. Jungle? São Paulo is the 6th largest city in the world. I've been there and i can say that, if they do it right, they can do justice to max payne 1 and 2.dagens24 said:I liked the fat, bald, bearded look of Max; it had a very 'life happens' feel to it. He's older, let himself go and depressed; I find that story very appealing. What I didn't like was the setting; a jungle? Really? Max Payne has always been very noire urban, the setting didn't fit. But I feel that his initial design did.
*Spoilers*
That being said I feel like the fat, bald, beard look would have worked better for the 2nd game since at the end of the first he finally gets his revenge and it doesn't change how he feels. In the 2nd he seemed very depressed, his fight had accomplished nothing. But by the end of it he comes to terms with it all so I feel like the 3rd one should have a more 'at peace' Max Payne. Anyway, that's just my take.
