I understand that the vampire thing is of little importance but did they have to ruin a creature so close to the hearts of horror fans?
hell, there are some of us who loved the werewolves the ruined too, *schoridinger fans* *rip van fans*

isn't rip van a werewolf? i always wondered whether she was a vampire or werewolf. hellsing fans, please enlighten me.
I am going to go with vampire, because when Alucard confronted her he said "Those that dare impersonate the dead are judged to join their ranks" and as far as I know werewolves aren't actually undead, so that's were I stand. Also as I recall they fought under a full moon and she didn't transform, so there.
i agree, but you forget. Schrodinger doesn't need a full moon to transform.

GASP! how didn't i remember this?!?! if twilight ruined both the werewolves and vampires of hellsing, it didn't ruin one thing. angels. of. death. they kill people. with STRING! walter seriously needs a spinoff. hell, i and his whole fan base would watch it, and i'm sure kohta would do it. that would be awesome. it doesn't even need a plot, i'd watch 20 minutes of him just shooting twine at baddies.

Werewolves. Pure awesome.
plus, they are everywhere and nowhere, and they're german. very large cookie WITH ice cream for reference.
I didn't know Schroodinger was a werewolf... I always thought he was some kind of cat thing, or at least that is what I've heard.
yeah, i think somewhere in about... 4... she has a conversation with the major and he says something about werewolves. i always suspected most of the medium ranked nazis to be them. by that, i mean Schrodinger and Rip Van Winkle. and on the subject of Rip Van Winkle, that was one of the greatest deaths in the series. next to, of course, 10 minute foul, excessive grating.

have you even READ hellsing? have you SEEN the badassness that is Alucard? ya know what, off! off this site! go buy and read hellsing. but don't read the last three in only a few hours, as it may cause your mind to explode from awesome. mine did, and i'm still cleaning brains from the chair i was sitting in.

Thesis: Vampires were not ruined because of one series. Summary at the end.

Mythological refers to creatures from stories. Much like how Cryptological refers to mysteries, and biological refers to organic, cellular, proven life. Cthulhu counts, even if he's not scary. How bad can he be?

mindless bloodthirsty animated corpses

bisexual chess players who spend large efforts seducing and drinking from one particular person.
Alucard is neither, but heres the thing. count dracula, according to hellsing, is also Vlad Dracul, and he was sodomized by an arab at a young age. so, i think, him saving a kid was about not wanting him to go through the stuff he went through. because vampires... kill... in some weird ways. i mean, did you see how zorin blitz was killed? grated against a wall until death!

We all know that Vlad "Dracul" Tepes (I believe that is how his last name is spelled) was the real dracula, just watch History channel. Grated against a wall... How fast and what was the texture of the wall, because if it is something smooth like marble or sheet metal, than I must say that is highly illogical captain (or is it major XD) but if it is similar to a cheese grater, then I can accept that.

LETS COMBINE TUPAC ELVIS AND HENDRIX TO FORM THE GREATEST RAPPER ROCK STAR EVER
Why must they all be dead? Also if you are going to bring them back, do so using blood rituals thus infusing them with DEMONIC POWA! making them rock/rap even harder.

well, it was ceras doing it after she drank vernedead's blood and became a badass vampire with a tornado thing for an arm. she used her vampire strength to just... well, she ran while holding zorin's head against the wall. so maybe the friction burned her face away? until it was just a bloody neck stump. and besides, why would you not accept it was just a marble wall? i abandoned all rationality after i knew it was about a vampire killing vampires who shapeshifts into a dog. c'mon. c'mon.

I don't know why, I simply won't. It seems TOO ridiculous quite frankly. It'd be like trying to light a match with a gelatinous orb covered in silicon. But it wasn't simply a marble wall was it?

"True Blood"
or, ya know... hellsing OVA works too.
you know, I tryed to get into "True Blood", but it was already halfway through the second season, so 10 minutes in. I thought my head would explode trying to keep up with everything but other than that it seemed like a great show.

As for "Hellsing".... OH MY GOD THAT SHOW IS SO ^$&*ING COOL AND ALUCARD IS THE BEST VAMPIRE EVER!!! exsample of Alucard's greatness, "he can heal from being a puddle of blood on the ground back into a human in about 6 seconds. I'd say we need a hellsing movie but someone would just screw it all up. unless Sam Rami directed. maybe.

You know, I've never seen Hellsing (Or, at least, I've never seen it all the way through...I seem to catch snippets here and there) but "killing people with string" reminded me of a pretty cool myth to get behind...the Greek Fates. I mean, come on, three badass women who can end your life with a single snip of the shears. Seems to me they'd be people to fear...
