How did they screw up the Bosmer that much? He looks more like a fucking High Elf than a Bosmer.

The hell? Which one? Both of those bosmer look like they could pop out of the wood, have an arrow in your eye and disappear before you could say 'ohshitabosmer.'

High elves are supposed to look like prancey pompous gits and neither of those do :/ I'm not missing something am I?


Edited cos I somehow spelt wood as in forest like 'would.'

Bit disappointed by the orc. That is my favorite race to play, but it just doesn't look very orc-ish. Maybe you can change skin color a lot more in Skyrim, but other then that everything looks great.

EDIT: I've found other images of orcs for skyrim and they look bad ass as hell and not just disfigured human.

Nords FTW! Nothing better than being a Viking/Vikign like character and killer things with a overly large hammer dressed in steel clothing and a horned helmet that covered the upper part of your face except the eyes...that was overly specific.

I kinda see your point with the sword, but thats a bit like saying my character is oblivion looked like a daedra because I gave him a great big daedric axe :/ and to me the warpainty stuff on the face makes him look like some aztec/mayan type dudes in a film I watched.
Ah wells ^ ^ everyone interprets things differently, etc.
Also its 4 in the morning and I haven't slept in just over 24 hours, might wake up and think you were completely right.

...so much better than Oblivion's plastic faces. And if these are the result of 1-2 minutes of adjustments, imagine what you can get after 10 minutes.

OK, I can't be the only one to look at the Argonian and immediately think "Clever girl..."

But that's pretty awesome, they look real now, unlike before when the Orc looked like...well, play-doh punched into shape.

Some parts of the armour on these look really low polly, the elves in particular stick out, almost Oblivion esque textures.

It's likely because they havent finished polishing everythign quite yet. So I'll wait for the finished product.

Argonian looks respectable, might actually have to play one now.

Personally I like the Argonian and Khajiits, but the rest? They all look pretty bad, and is it me or do the environments look really bland and...not pretty?

I hope I can make my Argonian blue this time, that was the only colour I ever liked for Argonians.

you know, as stoked as I am for this game, every time I see trailers and screenshots it doesn't look that much different than Oblivion. I hope that's just me making an early unfounded judgement.

OT: They all look pretty awesome, if too excessively muscular. The kajiit specifically stood out to me. I just might roll one this time around.

IMNSHO, Orc looks too human. I enjoy my burly, big jawed green motherfuckers.

The orc looks too human, but the rest of them are pretty damn awesome.

That's because the Kotaku reviewer made him look like that. Usual orcs still look badass.

Argonians look pretty good . They look a little more "dinosaur-ish" than other games. Everything else either looks outright fugly to just alright... mainly due to the repulsive graphics engine more than anything. Yuck... even Oblivion characters looked better than some of these.

Just more reason not to waste my money on what is going to be a colossal disappointment. Of course Bethesda fans are too blind to realize that the dev's MO is overhyping their buggy, poorly designed pieces of garbage in hopes that someone will buy into it hook, line, and sinker.

Which ones are 'fugly'? To my mind atleast, they're all miles ahead of the oblivion character models. You can't honestly say these shot look worse than say... this guy
