Looks like more of New Order Wolfenstein basically, which is good. I hope the story is up there with New Order. I have a feeling that there's some major twist going to happen with regards to BJ. He sorta should be dead and it sorta feels like his life (outside of the Nazis obviously) is going too good with twins on the way and such. I don't know, something just seems a bit off. I did skip around and only watched like 5 minutes or so of the longer video because I don't want to spoil story stuff and the gameplay looks like more of the same.
The moment that I'll most remember from Prey was this little AI moment with a mimic. At the start of the game, I would put a turret at a doorway and run around a room triggering mimics and then lead them towards the turret. Well, I found out that a mimic will stay mimic-ed if the turret is in line-of-sight. I finished looting a room, picked up my turret moving onto to the next room (and through the room I just cleared), and a mimic attacked me as I walked through the room because the turret was being carried and not deployed. That's something simple to do from a AI programming standpoint but made for quite the memorable moment.
I would totally love if shooters started focusing on improving AI but I doubt this will be the game that starts it as the game is sorta about mowing down Nazis while dual-wielding the 2 biggest guns you can find.hanselthecaretaker said:I have conflicted feelings about this series. With it being such a pedigree piece of the genre I hope it does more to push the game play into new territory with this installment. I want to see more aggressive, intelligent AI working behind the scenes vs standing there waiting for a lead deposit when they pop into view. Perhaps also both them and the player being able to get more creative with using environments and objects to their advantage. Shooters can only get better with more dynamics involved.

Ditto for FPSs, especially last-gen with how the genre devolved due to the MMS fad.B-Cell said:very few third person shooters are really good.
