[WARNING: THOSE WHO ARE AFRAID OF CHANGE SHOULD GO AWAY RIGHT NOW! THIS THREAD WILL ONLY INSPIRE YOU TO TROLL!]

I have noticed something recently. All the LoZ games seem to be the same(mostly) game remade over again constantly with improvements on the last one yet ultimately keeping with the exact same gameplay mechanics. I get that it has worked so far for them, and I am an Ardent Zelda fan but if the next LoZ ends up being Twilight Princess with better graphics and new stuff to do I might end up passing it over in fair of something else.

Basicaly I want all users who post to speak up on your opinion. Do you think Nintendo needs to change there formula with LoZ? If so what changes do you think they should make?

I personaly think they should make a few major changes including...

[WARNING: THINGS THAT ARE ITALICIZED ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS! NOT THINGS I DEEM NECESSARY!]

1. Give all most the characters voice actors. Including Link!
2. Make Ganon alot more evil! Kidnapping a single person over and over again isnt what I would call evil. He needs to start thinking bigger. Along the ways of becoming the next Napoleon Boneparte.
3. Make Zelda alot more attractive. I dont know a single real life person that finds Zelda attractive. If she actualy was as hot as Link thinks her to be it would be a great incentive to go and save her.
4. Make the game alot more mature. Give enemie's blood when you stab them(Not f**king gallons or anything, but a little would be nice). And instead of enemies falling to the ground and exploding into dust there bodies should just be left there, only until you leave the room though. Also, some *perky* women would be nice. Im not saying they should put nudity in the game. But it would definately improve the experience if along the way Link was distracted from his adventure by some big-busted women. And things of the sort. And two words. JIGGLE PHYSICS!
5. Quit being so dungeon reliant. Dungeons are fine here and there. But its boring when the main part of a game is nothing but dungeons. EDIT: I realise the main point of the LoZ games are the dungeons but basically what im saying is that they should have alot more action based overworld moments. They had a few in TP, why not add a few more?

6. Alternatively, I once heard a rumor that the next LoZ would be set in the future. I think thats a great idea! Giving Link a sword with electricity running down it to make it burning hot. Allowing the sword to cut through almost everything. Giving Link gadgets that acted like magic would be cool. Freezing time, or moving objects with the flick of a hand. It would all be awesome!

7. Change the story!!!!!!!!! ANYTHING PEOPLE!!! The same old, Zelda gets kidnapped by Ganon with(supposedly) the intent to rule the world lurking behind all of it, is getting just plain boring/over used.

8. Have a massive theme of "war on the horizon" with a big fealing of Tolkienesque epicness looming over your head all the way.

9. Make Link become a female. Trust me, it would be the same old Link. But if they did this the feeling would be the definition of unique.

Well... It seems to me that your only real problem with the games is that they're too childish

If that's the issue, then you're skrewed as far as LoZ goes.

When I think of the future of the LoZ games maturity is definately a big factor. So in a sence you are right.

Yeah it seems like to you just want more tits and violence...
As far as the dungeon system goes, I actually enjoy that. Works your brain and fingers

I have no idea if this is true or not, but awhile back, I heard the next LoZ game would take place in the future. I dont know if this true or not, but I read it awhile ago on some game website

Nope, keep the formula same. If they were going to make drastic changes, then they should just make a different game entirely.

As for your suggestions, I disagree on each point.

1. "Excuuuuse me princess." That and the CDI zelda series are the very reason Link should never open his mouth, except for his various screams and yells.
2. It's a family game. He's about as evil as they can make him.
3. Ugh. Come on.
4. See 2.
5. What's wrong with dungeons?
6. No, no, no, no, no.

Not saying your ideas aren't good, just that I don't think they fit in a Zelda game. Take those ideas and apply them to a completely different title, because Zelda does not need to change its formula.

I do not mind playing the same game over and over again. I am pretty sure that a lot of us do not mind it all that much as well. Soul Calibur has been the same game since 2, the Tekken series are pretty much the same game over and over again. There are no real differences between most of the Castlevania games since Symphony of the Night. Fable 1 and 2 are basically the same game with a few minor differences, and other games. How many times can Mario rescue the princess, all of those games are the same premise, but with different set pieces?

As far as the dungeons go, yeah I realise they are a major part of the games but shrinking down the amount(even if only a bit) would be appreciated. And yes the action segments in TP were kinda what I was hinting at.

If they make a Legend of Zelda game based in the future, with FIREARMS, and CARS, and all that stupid crap, I'm probably just going to kill myself.
Legend of Zelda is just something that doesn't deserve that, and it's been a major milestone in my life, teaching my about how cruel the real world is. And stuff like that.

Really, though, the FUTURE? People are seriously considering that?

I think Zelda is attractive enough. She's not decked out like Peach, but that's the point. She's been given this characteristic as a secret bad ass.

Not that Peach can't be a bad ass, too. Or something.

But, MrEco, you need to get a hold of Majora's Mask. Most dark game of the series. Best sub-plots ever. Telma still wants to have a word with you. She distracted him. Did you see the look on his face (and where it was pointed) when he first met her? I don't get why Renaldo didn't like her though. Maybe he's taken a vow of chastity. Shaman =/= priest?

As far as voice actors go I do see the point of the people that said its a bad idea. Im not saying they should make Link a chatter box. But a little commenting during the cutscenes would be appreciated.

Or at least give him more facial expressions then just...

*Surprised gasp*

*Fearfull gasp*

*Content smile*

*Angry grimace*

and lets not forget...

*(I just found a new item) Stare*

Massive change in formula much? Dungeon puzzles are what defines Zelda. The voice actors part is a "meh" from me. It could work, it might not. But definitely no speech from Link. The breasts and blood thing is your problem (they bled ever so slightly in Twilight) Zelda looks good enough in my opinion. Not gorgeous, but she's good. I actually agree with the elemental sword idea though. If they pull it off well, then it could really be a breakthrough. Balancing might be an issue though. It has to be more than simply extra damage and puzzle solving, or it's worthless. On the other hand, ice and lightning have an issue with being overpowered (infinite electric stun/freeze and one-hit-kill), while fire is measly damage over time.

I'd like to see bigger variation on the plot for once, I know you'll always be searching for things, I know you'll always need to save the princess, but could we change up a little? I was excited when it looked like Twilight Princess would be a War Story, but I was sadly mistaken.
