Meh, if its a bad song, don't listen to it. All you're doing here is promoting it and making a bad song into something extremely profitable.
Cause she's not already one of the most successful popstars around right now? Who cares if she gets even more exposure, it's not going to make much of a difference.

That's your defense? Because she is famous and rich already, that means we should give them more views and publicity which they can then use to make money off of it? Minaj isn't even the one making money off of that video. Most of it goes to the record company who produced it. You wouldn't feed a troll on the forums would you? Then why the fuck would you do the same thing for music trolls like Minaj?

It does make a difference, record companies go where the money is and if they make a decent enough profit off a song like this one, they may be encouraged to make similar ones. You could call bullshit on that, but it happens, as shown by Rebecca Black's publisher Ark Music Factory. If you don't believe me, go visit their youtube page, look through their videos and see for yourself. The numbers encourage them to keep posting that stupid crap, even if they are mostly from people who hate the songs.

Nicki Minaj doesn't effect my life at all. Neither does anyone involved in that video. If they get more money good for them. I couldn't care less.

I find the song to be strangely infectious. I watch the video three times the first day I saw it. I doubt it would be as interesting without the video, and the idea of writing a song about how stupid a hoe is is kinda dumb to me, but the overall product is interesting to me. I can see why others wouldn't like it. Though I don't listen to her kind of music, I find Nicki Minaj to be a pretty intersting artist, like Lady Gaga without trying so hard and doing a better job of whatever it is she and Lady Gaga are both going for fashion-wise.

It doesn't effect you until your friends (or anyone else near you at the time)start singing the chorus to this bloody song 'in an ironic fashion' every fucking day, like they did with Friday. Unfortunately, not all of us are mature, so, and I think I speak for everyone here who believes their friends stumble into immaturity once in a while when I say, don't encourage the trolls or bad memes.

This is how an Arrow in the Knee got started people!

Although that song is god awful. But TBF it kinda sounds like she's taking the piss.
Holy shit. That is some horrible... everything. I mean she actually fails at everything possible in a music video. Every fucking thing. Now, I could only stand a few seconds and I don't plan on buying a new monitor, but holy shit! What the hell is up with the pants, they look like granny jammies. The only thing I can guess "swagger" "has to do with in that video is that she can't walk properly in those weird, mis-fitting pants.

Anyway, isn't Nicki Minaj on Lil Wayne's label? Thereyago "heh heh."

*EDIT* I love how so many people are jumping to defend her in the Youtube comments. Seriously, if this is the music you love and must defend with your precious youtube presence then you probably also watch Jersey Shore and think MTV is actually Music Television.
Oh, and fun fact; this went straight to number 1 in the UK. And you think America has problems! Ha!

And it rips off the melody for Oh My Darling Clementine.

I quite like Niki Minaj. But this songs chorus is genuinely quite annoying, and really ruins whatever appeal the rest of the song had. I think alot of people are missing the point of the song and video. As 'lacktheknack' observed,

lacktheknack said:
It's a parody of the various "Stupid Hoes" in the music business (mostly Li'l Kim). Notice the references to Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Shakira, etc.

She's also in her "Roman Zolanski" alter ego (think Slim Shady), who I think is supposed to be pretty insufferable.
But as he went on to criticise, parody doesn't give an excuse to be annoying, especially within contemporary pop music.

It is easy to hate on something, to attack it as much as possible with hyperbolic 'worst ever' comments without positioning the subject in context. This is why so many hate the poetry and literature of old, caliming it to be boring. Just a thought.

This is still better than Crapstep, I mean Dubstep. There is something about this and Dubstep that makes me want to bust into the club firing off random shots in all directions. This is where Dubstep fans come out of the woodwork to defend their garbage, can't wait for the stupid messages. If I had to listen to that song over and over again, I would be like the guy in The Shining.
I really enjoy the way you simply slate something with little to no exposition as to why you hate it so much. Pure hate is a constructive force that should deffinitely be exercised on a message board such as this. Please note: this comment may be brought to you with strong and relatively explicit sarcastic tone.

But yes, Nicki Minaj is a terrible person, as is most hip-hop, rap, whatever artists are popular these days. Don't defend the majority of people that like this garbage because they would never go on an obscure gaming forum so they obviously are not among us.
The Escapist isn't an 'obscure gaming forum'. I dislike using such a loaded label which obviously conotes negativity, but you sound like an attempt to parody a hipster when such an assertion is coupled with your already mentioned 'us and them' rhetoric. As for the 'terrible person' comment? Wow. Just wow.

Worst video? Are you nuts? That's fucking hilarious. Best Satire video since Weird Al himself.

Wait....What? No, that can't be right.

This Just In!

Sources tell me that this video was indeed a real video.

Hmm. Still funny.
No, nope, no. There is a strong possability that certain songs of hers are served up through an alternate persona which is loaded with irony. There is an argument as to how valid an expression is, and where and when differing personas come in to play, but again, you are working off of assumptions that ignore context and background information.

And as this hilarious example proves, even with a sense of self-conscious irony, a parody can still miss the mark. I am not saying this is straight up parody, but it is obvious that they are aware of the genre conventions they are playing with in the creation of that monstrosity.

As for dubstep, how dare you touch one of Benny Benassi's latest songs and turn it into a steaming pile of shit. To everyone who reads this, listen to Cinema, the ORIGINAL GOOD VERSION, and notice how unique and catchy it is on its own merits. Splicing apart a song and mixing in WUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUB everywhere is not art. Its the farthest thing from it. Yes music is subjective but I love Benny Benassi's music too much to let party-going frat-douches ruin what is actually good music.
My honest opinion on dubstep is that it's easy to fuck up. Dubstep is the easiest form of music to create, but one of the most difficult to make it sound good and appealing. I understand your disgust since there are hundreds of thousands of terrible dubstep remixes and mashups. This may surprise you, but there is dubstep where the "drop" is very subtle, and almost quiet and soothing. It takes a monkey to make a dubstep song or mix. It takes a master to make dubstep appealing.

Or it's possible that they were totally serious and not giving a thought to genre conventions. One of the "dudes" is named Se7en.....SE7EN. While another calls himself "Phat J". I highly doubt that they could even spell "genre conventions" let alone consider them.

Am I the only one baffled that somebody actually allowed this to happen?
To be fair, this is sort of self-aware.
"Ass" was worse than this.

Also, nothing beats "Yah trick yah!" in terms of suckines:

The songs posted here are pretty bad I admit, but I'll stay by my descision that Mr.Ghettos ode to Wall-mart is still the darkest stain on the history of music.

It's funny cos she actually is a stupid hoe!

I find it distasteful that she is intentionally playing up the 'black ghetto party girl' stereotype and she actually has become rich off of it.
