Nickleback is Band of the DECADE!!

As a Canadian, I would like to take this moment to apologize to the rest of the world, for subjecting all of you the the music of nickelback for the last ten (or more) years. They started as a practical joke and got way out of hand and now it's too late to stop them. We're sorry, please forgive us

This apology would go a lot further if you would clean up your mess.

We tried but by the time we realized what was happening, they had escaped across the border into the U.S. and there was nothing we could do. We tried throwing snowballs and sending our attack moose after them, but they were ineffective in the warmer climate.

Clearly you didn't go after Maine, we've been speially training our moose to deal with the canadian versions.

Nickelback's allright. I don't mind them, but I hate Rockstar just because of how ridiculously popular it became for no reason. Their other stuff' OK, I suppose, but I would have much preferred, say, the Foo Fighters, because they're awesome.

Nicely sums up my feelings. I have no musical taste at all, so NB has never been something negative for me. I know a lot of people hate them and while I'm not totally clear why, I can tell they aren't something that deserves "Band of the Decade"

Well they had a couple good songs when they first started but like many bands once they tasted mainstream success the decided to have all of their songs sound EXACTLY the same...

It is hard to say who I would put as band of the decade but if I can think of one I will edit.

nickelback isnt really a bad band, i mean not like marilyn manson or cannibal corpse or cradle of filth was going to win it, they only appeal to a very restricted group of people. it had to be a bad thats more mainstream.


anyway, nickelback made some really good songs, i think they deserve it.

Billboard didn't name them as the #1 artist of the decade, just as the #1 band. They were seventh overall on the list. Their #1 artist of the decade was Eminem. I think it's a testament to the shittiness of Nickelback that I actually prefer Eminem.

A Nickelback song was made the 'Official Theme of Alberta' which made me die a little bit inside being from Alberta.

Nickelbacks first album wasn't terrible, but the problem is they found something that worked and they have consistently only done THAT for the past decade.
