Lol. Imagine if the Silent Hill horror-type games got a hold of that Vitality Sensor. Give them the ability to change the game based on how you're reacting to it? They'll be able to get into your head THAT much more. :)

I'm interested to see more about Zelda, too. I like the idea of 1-1 sword swinging, so here's hoping it's not just some "press A to engage in 1-1 swordfight minigame" that comes up as often as the sumo wrestling in TP. Can't wait to see their "new direction" with the game. :)
Also, I'm hoping they finally unveil the next handheld generation. I'm getting tired of all the DS rehashing. I've been hearing talk about Nintendo's next console generation already and I'm thinking to myself, "good lord... The Wii's been out for years now and the DS came even before that, now running out of steam a bit... And people are already talking about the next Nintendo console? Forget the handhelds?"
I know it's not too popular, but I'm a real handheld guy. Always have been.

Just no. So I guess this means the money piles are getting kind of small over at Ninty?
Nintendo?
BrokeLow on cash?
Are you mad?
Well, they have this way of announcing a new (old, repackaged) game every time it seems like more and more people are starting to ignore their system. Then everyone goes nuts and jumps on the hype train, since it's MARIO and LINK, which are to gamers what APPLE PIE and THE FLAG are to patriotic hicks.
And you jump on the critics rage-train, since it's MARIO and LINK!

Try to compare a bunch of different shooters, and you'll see how much alike most of them are, and they're not even the same franchise. Good dude with big ass guns saves the world by clicking on generic zombies, aliens, nazis or terrorists. Don't get me wrong, i like shooters myself, i'm just suprissed that you don't hate them as well, seeig as most of them have brought very little to the table when it comes to new stuff. Heck most of them (the ww2/modern) ones even uses the same weapons over and over, but i guess thats okay since it's in the name of realism, so while the MP5 and AK47 never gets old the master sword and bow apparently does. And the gameplay of shooters are extremely much alike in almost every game (ok you can split it into a few groups, but we're talking a whole genre with 100's of games vs a franchise with like what, 15 games or something?)
I'm not saying shooters are bad, and that nw shooters shouldn't be released, i'm saying they're good, and new ones should keep coming, and the same goes for marioa and zelda.

Swap FPS with RTS and you could say almost the same, also fighters like tekken and street fighter etc. Or raceing games, especially the kind without weapons. OR Sports games, but then again, sports doesn't change IRL so i guess that maeks it valid for teh gameplay to only change diminutively (i know you may very well be amongst the majority of people here wo thinks anual sports games suck, if so ignore sports games)

What i'm trying to say is. Yes the zelda/mario series doesn't change a lot from game to game, but tahts basicly gaems for ya, most people just forget that because theyrø'e just kinda saying what's been said a lot before by other people in order to sound bad-ass, smart, or just to have something to say.

Ok, fans of the franchise, tell me: what would you have change in Zelda?
I hear a great number of complaints and no suggestions. What would you change?

Oh, boy! The innovation nazis are out in force again! Yippee!

Seriously, Zelda offers more variety than any long-running successful franchise has the right to. Anyone who has played more than one Zelda, who isn't an idiot desperately seeking an edge that they aren't clever enough to have naturally, will tell you that each Zelda is very different to the last. Yes, the core is the same, because it's a tried and tested formula that works! Why would they change something that works so well with critics and fans alike, especially in an industry where the fans are paramount.

Where Zeldas differ is the feel, and the atmosphere. It's a totally different experience depending on whichever one you play, and I have no doubt that the new Zelda will continue to astound us. There's always something you haven't seen, heard and felt before in a Zelda game.

I know ragging on Nintendo is the in thing right now, but if you genuinely think that Majora's Mask was identical to Ocarina of Time, of if Wind Waker was identical to Majora's Mask, and so on, then you are a fool. That's all there is to it.

I'd say with the use of Motion+, a more combat-oriented title is in store.

Ok im going to make a prediciton.
You have to get 3 items, the put them in one place to get some sort of object.
Then you have to get more items (Probably 8) to get to the final boss.

Honestly, though. I don't want Link to talk. The others can stop speaking "Hylian" for all I care, but Link had better get his vocal chords severed in the opening cutscene or something. I do not want to chance him saying "Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me princess" even once...

Well, I think we've established the presence of Nintendo fans around here. I used to be one myself, but then I got sick of paying for the same game with minor tweaks over and over. And you know what? I don't like it when ANY company does that. I hate Koei. I hate EA. I'm not hating them because it's cool to do so, I'm just fed up with this attitude that you don't have to innovate once you become successful. Even when Nintendo does do something legitimately different, it's often a half-hearted effort at best (wolf form from TP, for example) which isn't well integrated into the rest of the game.

Why change something that works? Why, to find something else that works better and is more original! If Koei had changed the Dynasty Warriors formula earlier in the game, they might have come up with something more on par with what the Kingdom Under Fire Xbox games have.

Pong works. How much would it suck if a company kept making Pong over and over, only updating the graphics, controls and adding slight gameplay tweaks every so often?

I don't HATE Nintendo games, I just feel very indifferent to them by this point. I've seen and done it all before, why should I do it again? Wind Waker was probably the most "unique" Zelda in a while (maybe since the Oracle games, but Capcom made those so Ninty gets little to no credit), but I really didn't care for WW. I found it stupidly easy and fairly uninteresting. I certainly don't hate Zelda. The older Zeldas were great. But you know what? I say we've already seen the best the series has to offer. I don't think it's ever going to top Link to the Past, Link's Awakening... Probably not even Ocarina of Time.

I like Chrono Trigger, but that doesn't mean I want Square to make 10 more CT games, know what I'm saying?
