defenders need to have snipers. once on isla innocentes, the entire team were sniper(my team defenders) every time someone came in our range i said 3....2....1 SHOOT! they all shoot multiple targets at the same time. its very fun spotting and giving tactical commands and barely having any time for a breather. when we setched to attacker we were assault medics and engineers. the enemy treid to copy us but failed.Eatspeeple said:I find this happening somewhat in BC2, though without the shouting. (Only being able to communicate with your squad is a good idea.) Bomb is planted, sniper is capable of getting there defuse it without the use of legs, but they don't. Because they get far more XP for sitting exactly where they are and sniping. And since 99% of people play as snipers when defending, it means sometimes not one person will lift a finger to stop the bomb. Not a problem to defuse if you go for it, generaly only one person will defend the bomb.

Indeed.littlelacysurprisepageant said:The problem with BFBC2 is that it is more rewarding to get kill streaks by just camping with a sniper, then actually going to blow up the objectives in rush or capturing the bases in CTF. You only get something like a 200 point bonus for winning a match which is easily outmatched by the points that can be racked up through kill streaks.
To those who play MW2 online, find a group of friends to play with, the game goes a lot smoother.
Yes. Yes it is. I cannot find one single justification for its existence actually. It's a retarded gimmick.Tonimata said:Or, you know, AT ALL!MiracleOfSound said:That goddamn nuke should NOT be allowed in objective based games.
Because it is a stupid addition to the game.
Yeah, but you do get better loot for that in WoW, with the exception of Naxx. Given the point of raiding in WoW is to kill bosses and get loot, making it so you get better loot isn't exactly a bad thing to do.Davrel said:And this is why achievements and ranks are a bad idea.

OT: You get a lot of crap like that in WoW with people trying to do achievements (ie doing a boss event incorrectly for the sake of arbitrary points) when all you want to do is kill the guy, loot and move on.
If you decide to do that then add me on Live, haha.JFuss said:no i mean be the one pissing off all the people trying to get nukes and be general retards.MiracleOfSound said:People don't generally rage after a nuke in MW2.JFuss said:my god, after reading all these i want to go get a copy of MW2 and do this just to see people rage.
They just kind of sigh with dissapointment.
Fucking agreed.Davrel said:And this is why achievements and ranks are a bad idea.

Yes, this has happened to me more times than I can fucking count. It's ridiculous and retarded and I always (xbox 360) give those mother fuckers a bad review because they clearly don't understand the rules of the damned game so they shouldn't even be playing it. Fuck, if they want damn kill streaks maybe they should play a damned deathmatch not a fucking objective game.
God I hate players like that, I want to leap through my mic and punch them in their fucking faces.
Yeah, pretty much goes with everything. Even Team Fortress 2 on the 360, which is completely and utterly objective based, people just go in there to get kills. Objectives on console shooters is absolutely ridiculous.GBlair88 said:Don't ever play Killzone 2. The developers came up with a pretty clever way of having objectives that change as the game goes on, but everyone just thinks in their head 'TEAM DEATHMATCH!!!' no matter what the objective is.
You are joking right? I single handedly have to capture the intel in almost every game of 2Fort I play because everyone would rather play Engineer or Sniper to rack up easy kills rather than go for the objective.Shoes said:Tf2 ftw.
Seriously that game is awesome and stuff like that happening is rare in it.
A little more aggressive than I would have put it, but yes. Basically.whycantibelinus said:Fucking agreed.Davrel said:And this is why achievements and ranks are a bad idea.

YOU FAILED PREPARE FOR SUDDEN DEATH!Flour said:Not really a surprise, every objective-based game will somehow be turned in a TDM.
TF2 has some rare servers where nobody bothers with the objective. Call of Duty(all games) is rare to have a proper gametype. CSS has hundreds of (team)deathmatch mod servers.
I think it's the announcer in TF2 that somehow manages to get players to work together and try to win the objective.
I always sneak in as a scout at those times and win the match with 3 caps ^^.PoisonUnagi said:I like it in TF2 when nobody tries to capture the flag, and 2Fort becomes a team deathmatch.
I don't mind hard-modes in raids that require different tactics - because you're more likely to have the agreement of the entire raid and, as you say, you get better loot for it. Getting "undying" achievements is also fine as this requires nothing other than an ability to stay awake/avoid fire.elvor0 said:Yeah, but you do get better loot for that in WoW, with the exception of Naxx.
