"No! Don't get the flag!" But, that's the objective, "NOOOOO!"

That's the reason I wish wins are the only thing in the leader boards, because people care more about their K/D then the win.

Yep, Happened to me in Halo CTF.

Then I found them. And beat them to death.

With the flag.

I hate when people do that to me

playing Domination on Terminal
I was playing as the Russians so I went to capture C. I hear "No you Idiot! dont do that!" as some one runs up to me
I ask "What are you talking about?" "Let them have C!" I heard in reply. I asked him (at least I think it was a him) why and all I get is "Dont be a retard you fucking idiot" and he ran off
confused I just took C anyway
Later I got a message that said something like "your an retarded idiot why did you capture C? you must be the dumbest fuckhead on the planet!"
I still dont get why he was mad, We won the match.
IMO the best way to play domination is to just get the advantage of 2 flags capped and then spawn-trap the other team. this, if done right, will get the pre-pubescent little boys their kills, and you still win the game.

more OT, i will admit that i do this very thing, but i usually dont sacrifice a game for more kills, but if were playing against sucky players in search, then me and my friends might let them have a round so we have more time, as long as we know we will win.

I sometimes get semi-pissed off at full time snipers in bad company 2.
I know it's just a game, but while you're trying your best to win it,some jackass is just sitting down doing nothing. And it's not as if any of them are any good really, there are always 2+ people sniping at the same spot so one of them is bound to get a kill after a while.
Luckily,I found the best solution against those bastards:40mm grenades and rocket launchers.
They can hide behind concrete walls and in houses,it won't stop me from ripping the whole place down.

Often when I play TF2 I play with a group of folks on Dustbowl that will let the other team get the points just so we can keep playing defense longer.

I hate people who don't play for the objective.

So I hate 99% of the people who play Sabotage in MW2.

This happens so many times in both MW2 and WoW. And both are just full of bloody idiots.

Tf2 ftw.

Seriously that game is awesome and stuff like that happening is rare in it.
One of many, many reasons I still play and love this game.

Apart from Spy/Sniper stacking.

I play TF2 on a regular set of ... not quite clan servers, but close, and every now and then I'll join one and people will have decided they're "not playing serious". What this means ranges from not going for objectives, to not even killing each other. They just sort of goof around. I can understand the fun-vs.-"srs bzns" debate, but I can't understand how just running around taunting, spamming voice commands, and trying to form human pillars is more "fun" than anything that could reasonably be called "playing the game".
Well...

yep, quite a lot on demolition, i always ignore these people though, and thats what gets me MVP.

I hear that "lag switches" allow you to break someone else's connection to a game, does anyone know anything about that? it would be nice to boot anyone who becomes a hinderence to the team.

Lag switches are actually used, usually by the host, to turn a normal player's character into a sitting target. It can also cause effects like dodging bullets, insane lunges that should never happen, even with Commando Pro, and other such ridiculous acts that could never happen in a lag-free environment.

In essence, it's cheating.

This has happened in TF2 but it was a mutual thing. I was about to cap and EVERYONE on the server asid "Don't cap it, we're just here to have fun and kill each other. No-one's going for the objective."
I stopped, killed a bunch of people with the intel still on my back, died and we just played for another 20 minutes 'till the timer ran out. It was actually a lot of fun.
Other times, we play matches where we all agree (ALL AGREE) that the only kills you can make are Taunt-kills. Plenty of fun there. It's just such a break from the norm. Personally, it's a lot of fun but not something I'd do most games.

But that stuff only works when everyone's alright with it.

This is because CTF is the worst game type ever because no one wants to capture the flag as they might die. This and people don't understand the concept of capturing the flag they just want to flag camp and get kills.

And this is why achievements and ranks are a bad idea.

OT: You get a lot of crap like that in WoW with people trying to do achievements (ie doing a boss event incorrectly for the sake of arbitrary points) when all you want to do is kill the guy, loot and move on.
I once grouped with someone who rolled 'need' on every item to try to get the achievement for rolling 100 on a need roll.

On the wow thing, when some jackass screws up on an achievement when the group has made an agreement on how to kill the boss I can agree with the ones that flame the person who "Just wanted to play the game"
However, in headquarters when our team was leading with 225 points I caped the headquarters and some French guy told me, "Ahh, yo noob, Wermilion, yo a noob, why capur headquarteur! NOOB!"

-Video Snip-
This is the main reason why I need to fix my old computer...
OT: I mostly play Search and destroy(?) on MW2. The one with the one bomb and you have to plant it at bomb site A or B? That one. Mainly because there is at least someone trying to complete the objective with me.

On MW2 like you I was about to plant a bomb nad these 2 guys were trying to get a nuke (they were against each other) and I was about to plant it and they both ran over and started shooting me and shouting down the mike in German (Im English so I didnt have a clue what they were saying but I guessed it was some insult cause my brother speaks German so he understood it) I just went fuck you and won the game then played some TF2!

So yeah it has happend.
