In Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero, Chefbot-9000 is absolute hell! The first time I tried fighting him, I didn't have a clue that there was a quick, easy trick to defeat him, so I went about beating him the hard way. Took me 3 or 4 hours of constantly challenging, and dieing, to beat the bastard.
... There's an easy trick to defeating him?
Oh yeah, it's possible to beat him in about 30 seconds. There's 2 tricks you're going to want to know of.

First off, there's the double damage trick. There are 2 types of attacks; the normal slice (Just pressing Square) and the air slice (Jumping, then jamming on Square.) Those are just my names for the attacks. Basically, in order to dish out maximum damage, you want to get close enough to an enemy that, while doing the air slice, you're also hitting the enemy with your normal slices. You can tell if this is working because there will be a spark at the end of the knife every time you hit. This can allow you to dish out insane amounts of damage in a short period of time.

Second, the trick that will make Chefbot a pushover. Start things off normally by throwing bombs at him and knocking him out, then walk all the up to him and use the above trick, making sure you're hitting his keyhole. When Chefbot starts to wake up again - the skulls will show up - don't run away! Chefbot doesn't get his hitbox back very quickly, allowing you to keep him in submission. As soon as you notice those skulls reappearing, jump up and ground pound on his keyhole. Keep ground pounding 2 more times in quick succession to knock him out. You have to make sure you do it quickly enough, because otherwise you'll end up on top of Chefbot and he'll get his hitbox back.

It's possible to beat this boss using this trick only once, but the trick can be done as many times as you need.

How about some of the mid-game bosses in the level that's nothing but bosses in Gradius III on Super Nintendo? If got killed by something you didn't see right before a boss....man Its like trying to kill a dragon with a flyswatter...

Nearly everything in Bayonetta, on normal mode, is bloody hard. Mostly because I can't time my dodges, but also sort of because I'm like

JAWSUS WHAT THE HECK IS THAT WHY IS IT EATING ITSELF OH GOD THIS IS LIKE MY NIGHTMARES OH GOD IT'S ATTACKING WHAT DO I DO.

And yeah. I think I would die in the tutorial of a horror game. :/
I didn't have trouble with the bosses gameplay-wise, but I DID share your horrified reaction to a lot of them. Especially the water one which was just "How big is-OH MY GOD!!!!"
As for non-final bosses, Konstantin Brayko in Alpha Protocol. He jacks himself up on cocaine after you've done a bit of damage to him which not only restores his armor but makes him invincible for about 10 seconds and makes him come at you with knives that do CRAZY damage. I spent an hour and a half trying to beat him before giving up, reverting to an old save, and doing more of the game until I could get more intel files on him (one of which is spiked cocaine which makes him damage himself and makes the fight STUPID EASY).

Final Fantasy XIII, Chapter 10 (On The Palemecia).

NOTE: This may be a bit of a spoiler for people who aren't there yet.

Barthandelus, the Fal'cie.

He killed me so many times that I could have hugged George Bush when I beat him. In a way, he's the final boss, but this references to the first time you fight Barthandelus, not the third time.

The funny thing is, he's gets easier as you progress! The next time you fight him, he only killed me once, and I have never died on the third time you fight him. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Oh, by the way, aren't the graphics heavenly in this game? It's like a god made them.
This, oh dear god this. Literally took me about 20 times.
You guys suck. WTF that took me two tries. The first time i got sloppy when hre was about to die and the second time I raped him. This asshole took me some time though

Give me a pack of Mabari, and I could end the blight instantly.
Oh god yes. I used him in all my playthroughs, he was an absolute godsend later on when there's a lot of mages around. Set his highest priority action to use Overwhelm (or whatever the attack was where he jumped on people and bit their face repeatedly) on enemy mages. The tank would get everyone's attention while dog sprinted past them all to chew on a filthy magic users face. God I love that dog.

Just use any grenade you have to stun him, shoot him with the TMP, jump on his back when the plaga appears, and repeat.

OT: New Destroyman in No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle. On mild difficulty, he is just annoying; but on bitter, he is a *****. He has this damn explosion attack that sucks you in and is impossible to avoid (because I don't know how). That and he is really quick to revive his other half. He is the reason why I can never beat the game on bitter.

I took him out on two staggers.

And there I was. Expecting something extremely difficult. After reading about how hard it was,and then beating it in 3 minutes.
