Oh yeah, it's possible to beat him in about 30 seconds. There's 2 tricks you're going to want to know of.infinity_turtles said:... The first time I tried fighting him, I didn't have a clue that there was a quick, easy trick to defeat him, so I went about beating him the hard way. Took me 3 or 4 hours of constantly challenging, and dieing, to beat the bastard.
First off, there's the double damage trick. There are 2 types of attacks; the normal slice (Just pressing Square) and the air slice (Jumping, then jamming on Square.) Those are just my names for the attacks. Basically, in order to dish out maximum damage, you want to get close enough to an enemy that, while doing the air slice, you're also hitting the enemy with your normal slices. You can tell if this is working because there will be a spark at the end of the knife every time you hit. This can allow you to dish out insane amounts of damage in a short period of time.
Second, the trick that will make Chefbot a pushover. Start things off normally by throwing bombs at him and knocking him out, then walk all the up to him and use the above trick, making sure you're hitting his keyhole. When Chefbot starts to wake up again - the skulls will show up - don't run away! Chefbot doesn't get his hitbox back very quickly, allowing you to keep him in submission. As soon as you notice those skulls reappearing, jump up and ground pound on his keyhole. Keep ground pounding 2 more times in quick succession to knock him out. You have to make sure you do it quickly enough, because otherwise you'll end up on top of Chefbot and he'll get his hitbox back.
It's possible to beat this boss using this trick only once, but the trick can be done as many times as you need.
