That Bastard. You most likely won't have any magic till that Boss so you gotta fight him with Steel&Arrows. He jumps on top of you, spits stunning fire from his Ivory Tower, then comes crashing back in and rapes your face. You can't even buy Supplies before you face him. All you have is that ****ing Katz selling Candy for 40g

There was this one boss in Paper Mario (for the Gamecube not the Wii) that I could never get by. I forget his name but it was on a train and he sucks up people that were standing around and used them against me. I tried at least twenty times then threw down the controller and never played it again.
Ah yes, I remember this boss. I didn't find it too difficult, but I know where you're coming from. I did eventually finish the game, whilst my brother got to the last boss and gave up. I honestly don't know why.

OT: For a long, long time, the boss of Desert Plains in Crystal Chronicles (Gamecube). I was eventually successful, after I decided to start playing again several years after purchasing it. To this day, I still haven't finished the game, though.

... There's probably several others, but I can't remember at the moment...

I have said it a million times before; only because he raped me so badly. Radec from Killzone: Liberation. ************ took me months to kill.

Bjorn the Behemoose in Dragon Quest V, and Goresby-Purrvis in IX.

In both cases, it was the result of not being leveled enough to have the right spell.

The Puppet Master.

I bring him up because I just spent 2 hours trying to beat him. I can't.

[HEADING=2]OH DEAR GOD KILL IT WITH FIRE!![/HEADING]

What game is that from? What sick and twisted mind could ever in a million years could bring that into something thousands would play?
CastleVania.

He has a nasty habit of grabbing players and throwing them in Iron Maidens.
Oh man, I remember that one. Took me so long to work out to hit his ragdolls so I do not get teleported to the Iron Maidens.

I always had the hardest time on that first Dark World boss in A Link to the Past.

You know, that weird ass turtle thing with the big tail...

That thing.
You too? That boss is nasty. I spent about twice as many lives in that dungeon than in any other. Ganon's Tower is easy compared to Turtle Rock. (I'm talking about the second version of him, where he has 2 extra heads that shoot ice and fire).
I still love Link To The Past though.

Final Fantasy XIII, Chapter 10 (On The Palemecia).

NOTE: This may be a bit of a spoiler for people who aren't there yet.

Barthandelus, the Fal'cie.

He killed me so many times that I could have hugged George Bush when I beat him. In a way, he's the final boss, but this references to the first time you fight Barthandelus, not the third time.

The funny thing is, he's gets easier as you progress! The next time you fight him, he only killed me once, and I have never died on the third time you fight him. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Oh, by the way, aren't the graphics heavenly in this game? It's like a god made them.
I remember fighting this guy. It took me a while to realise that you can survive that massive laser beam thing if you constantly attack him while he is charging it.

OT: Cerberus from Titan Quest: Immortal Throne. Simply because of the goddamn walls of fire that kept coming out of the ground that kept draining all my health.

This thing kicked my ass so many times, I stopped playing right after I finally beat it. That's how much it owned me, that I quit the game after killing it.

And there's supposed to be a stronger version later on??? Hell naw.

this and barthandelus i got so annoyed on these fuckers i did the same thing

traded it in with a few other things for starcraft 2 well worth it

Those Berserker's in Gears of War 1. When I was younger, those things seriously just destroyed me until I finally figured out it needed to hit the pillars. Ugh.

Though on a side note (Possible spoiler):
That one girl in the helicopter really DESTROYED my agent, if anyone gets the joke. ;-)

I'll be honest when I say I didn't read through all 9 pages BUT if anybody else says Dullahan in Golden Sun 2 then you get a GIGANTIC cookie. He was the boss of an optional dungeon- you had to import your data from the original game and find every single Djinni before entering the chamber and getting owned by this guy over and over. Though the reward for beating him was sure nice.

Alma in Ninja Gaiden. the first time.

Ouch
Yep. I can beat her decently on Normal now, but Hard and Master Ninja are still insane. Damned grab attacks. Stupid dodging. And she never touches the ground.
Flying swallow tends to do the trick, even if it's a bit cheap. if she swoops at you jump and Y her in the face, then she drops to the floor for like five seconds, giving you a chance for a few speedy attacks. It's not perfect, but I've beaten her on Hard once. Unfortunately i died like right after. Never got over the pain...

The time in Kingdom Hearts 1 where Riku takes your key blade and you get it back and fight him right after. I can never beat that, it's impossible for me to beat.
Sounds like you're talking about the first Riku fight. I found that easy. The second fight on the other hand...

Speaking of Kingdom Hearts, my basic weapons only / no accessories / no power-up items run has been halted at Agrabah due to my incompetence at the game and problems with Pot Centipede (beaten...finally) and the Cave of Wonders (can't...avoid...shots from eyes...)

OT: You know the Alien-like creature (I think it's called Vergudo) in Resident Evil 4? I genuinely thought that that was invincible, so instead of fighting it I just ran away.

Thats the one that kept killing me. I hate that Mutant Bulbasaur so much, I mean later in the game I can easily beat it because I have plenty of skills, summons, and so on, but when you first fface it, its just Lightning and whiny Hope (how ironic his name is hope and he is an emo LOL) seriously though, the difficultly curb in FF13 is all over the place

For some reason, I always struggle with Bane and the double Titan Henchmenn from Arkham Asylum. I'm just not very good and coordinating the dodges while simultaneously fighting off all the normal little minions that swarm you. The best I can hope for is that Bane throws a rock through the crowd and thins them out a bit.

Xaldian from KH2. Even on the easiest difficulty he would wreck me.
His undodgeable super dragon thing would kill you instantly, for at that point in the game you hadn't collected the full health bar or healing spells yet. Then you had to play as Mickey, and he kinda sucked :/
