Just now.

Coming back from a fancy dinner and I started undoing my tie...... Only to discover the tail was still in the tailholder.

Also, searching "Kittens" on Encyclopedia Dramatica after having it suggested to me. Don't. Just don't.
But it's so cute! :3
For me, very recently. Instagib Protect on Sauerbraten... basically, the opponent is to touch the enemy team's flag when it's not being carried, everyone spawns with 100 rifle ammo and 1 health. Your flag becomes touchable if you don't pick it up within about 10 seconds of it spawning.
So, I'm the flag carrier, and I'm fleeing from two attackers. The other two people on my team are doing the same to the other carrier. I attempt the easiest jump in the entire map, and attempt to riflejump (pointing the rifle downwards and firing so the kickback gives you a boost-up)... and I forget to look down, lose all my momentum, fall down a pit and die. My team loses a point and we lose the match.

-.-

Is it bad I just smirked and calmly closed the window?

When I played wow my 1st character was a mage. I tough myself the sword skill and leveled it up with a white weapon instead of shooting fireballs

2) I was playing Left 4 Dead 2 last month on the first level of dead centre, i was playing as a charger and as there are a few areas of the level allowing you to insta kill a survivor i waited next to a window, when the survivor's came along i burst out of my hiding place, charged towards them and fell straight out the window to my death, during my failiure of a charge i had also managed to knock a team mate out of the window....
I've always been a mahusive noob anyway, but as you mention it and this also cropped up in conversation last night, when it comes to L4D2, I always panic. And when I panic, the first instinctive reaction I have, is to stare straight at the floor and shoot my own feet. Very practical.

Now I'm on noones team :( booooo!

Oh man, first time playing runescape I saw all the top level users run around with this staff with a red globe on top of it.

Naturally I gathered that that was the strongest weapon in the game.
So I kept fighting Goblins until I had enough money to buy me a red staff, it took me a while to get all the cash from the first opponent in the game >_>.

I face-palmed the moment I bought it and noticed how stupid I was.

I was at work and a colleague asked me how to spell 'Jeopardize'. I didn't know, so I decided to misspell it on Google, thinking it would correct me. I typed in 'geypordise' and hit enter.
Showing results for GayParadise
To this day I still get asked if i'm 'searching for gay paradise'.

I once brought a friend to a family dinner (extended family). I had been introducing him to my family throughout the evening, but when i got to my uncle (Keith) i introduced him as Steve(my other uncle). I called him the wrong name twice before i realized my mistake. It was followed by an awkward, but thankfully quick, moment.

When I was a noobish noob on Battlefield Bad Company 2, I was trying to shoot a rocket launcher out a window while side-stepping. Needless to say, I missed the window and blasted myself to smithereens.

Another time on Battlefield bad company I was using a hotkey to switch to my repair tool and accidentally switched to my rocket launcher. I blew up our team's tank and myself with that.

Constant fragging myself on Halo. I still do those twitchy noob things. I am even guilty of killing myself with a needler via bouncing needles into wall right in front of me while side-stepping.

In real life, wondering why my food wasn't cooking fast, only to find out 10 minutes later I failed to turn the stove on properly.
I do all those video game related things. The amount of times I've killed myself while side-stepping with rocket launchers.

I was in bits laughing at that.

Mine was actually quite recent. I started a thread, comparing hockey to anime. I was so eager to get the discussion going, I didn't bother to check the validity of my point with any research, and because my experience with hockey was similar to Jack Thompson's experience with games, I came across as a judgmental, ignorant, hick.

My first time playing Left For Dead. I was a Hunter and decided to play cautiously. I kept circling, waiting for the best moment to strike, and before I could even attack the survivors had finished the stage. One of my teammates adequately assessed my performance with a "you suck."

My friends love this one. About fifteen years ago, I was in a camp talent show. I sang and acted a scene from West Side Story by myself. It was going great and just as I was finishing up, I thought it would be in character to strike a manly pose, so I simultaneously dropped down on one knee and entered a flexing pose. However, as I dropped down and as my fist came up, I uppercutted myself in the nose and caused a monstrous nosebleed on stage.

I got my ears pierced without, aftercare instructions. A few hours later I took a shower and removed the earrings before hopping in.

A few months ago my new roommates moved into my house with me.

A day or two after they all moved in, during which time I'd spent most hours of my day in bed ill as hell, I was forced out of bed by the front doorbell ringing and nobody else being home.

I opened the front door and all I saw in my ill, confused state was a girl I'd never seen before. I was kind of out of it, so I just told her I wasn't buying anything and closed the door on her.

She knocked again and I got angry, yelling at her that I wasn't going to buy her cheap shit and telling her to go fuck herself and leave me the hell alone...

...the girl was my roommate. She'd just forgotten her keys.

Tried taking my contacts out before bed for ages, until my eye was sore, then realised I'd already taken them out. How I didn't notice I could barely see I do not know....

On most games I keep a backup save, just in case.
I once had a character on Oblivion, a High-Elf swordmage, of whom I was rather fond.
While making saves for another character... well, you can imagine what happened.

Last week it was very icy in the mornings... I was walking to the bus stop with my friend in the morning and at one point there is a hill on this pathway. As we were walking back down it I just stopped walking and just let myself slide down... I didnt notice the puddle at the bottom where the ice had cracked -.- I couldn;t stop sliding and sorta waved my arms around before getting my feet wet. Sigh...

Mine was recent. Playing Red Dead redemption and the first horse I try to break is War. The damn thing kept bucking me off for about 15 minutes. Once I finally caught it I got knocked off by one of those zombies that are like Hunters from L4D
