It depends if you mean noobs or newbs.

Newbs are people who haven't done this stuff before and are unsure of what to do. The reason there's lots is because MMOs keep on growing.

Noobs are people who don't know what to do but should and won't admit it. Instead preferring to be a complete fuckwad and say they're right and everyone else is wrong.
To exemplify this I offer this picture:
I was trying to find that for ages. Thanks for obtaining it.

Anytime, my friend. My google-fu is strong.
Back on topic. Like someone said earlier, you will get the best stuff at 80 so its usually useless to run a low level dungeon for it unless you are gonna use that item for at least a week or so.

I also healed and tanked SM
even more so, Solo'de ZF on level 50 port paladin. (gogo epic 2hander)

top 3 things I think to be the reason.
1.: the more the members, the harder it gets to organize (A bit like left 4 dead wear 1 guy can F it up)
2 : Noob or newbs? let us not forget that newbs never lurned it, and Noob never will lurn it
3: Did that player started playing wow because of a fiend (friends intend to explane alot)

I know how you feel, just today i had a group to Ramparts and i went healing on a enchantment shaman.
it took about 3 seconds after a summon to make one guy go " omg you cant heal your not restoration"

Because everyone starts out a noob. Its an unfortunate fact of life. If I said I didnt roll on a trinket when I wasnt supposed to I would be lieing. But now I know better!
It is a persistant flaw in wow veterans not to want ANYONE NEW to learn to play. Seriously the flack my girlfriend gets as a lvl 20 just because she isn't a walking wowpedia. People should chill and learn to accept mistakes. TBH it's only a certain strain of wow player who gets arsey over 'noobs', when i was leveling i had any number of supreemely helpfull people who were forgiving of my newness.

Edit* as an example of my newbishness Didnt know there was an exact terminoligy difference between newb and noob.

I like to help newbies, but occasionally there are the bad ones that just make you want to kill them all with a flaming axe.

Tired of 'noobs' in MMO's? Don't group with any! Problem solved.

Before I got my awesome computer I ran WoW on a piece of shit laptop, I was constantly called a noob because I couldn't stay alive when the boss went apeshit and started to do AOE or something I had to run out of. Blah blah blah get used to it or join a guild without any.

I'm not really all that worked up about it, I'm just posting because I know some people will find this funny and to make my point: Why the hell are there so many noobs on MMOs? I've been playing MMO games for years, and NEVER had a time where I have been as bad as these idiots. Anyone else got more stories like this?
right cause you're just as bad as them now, so you've been as bad as the ones you complain about this whole time

however instead of being a noob, you are the close relative of the noob called the boob

seriously you didn't start playing and knew 100% of what you were doing in game. so be quiet and just tell the person what they did wrong instead of thinking you are superior

Welcome to the internet. Come back when you get that Naxx piece you've been praying for ninja'd.

Seriously. It's the Scarlet Monastery. It's not like it's that hard to Exit Instance>Reset Instance>Rerun Instance.

Back in the day when I was running Underbog I had similar problems. Every boss there has a tank drop. On one run through, every boss dropped it's tank-appropriate loot, and I, being the tank, needed and won them. The last boss drops the last piece I need to complete the Outlands entry level equipment set, so I need. Our warlock says something about me stealing all the loot, ninjas it and logs.

Its WoW, that game is 85% retards. That's the price you pay for something like 12 million players.

I totally understand about this, the healing trinket when i was about level 78/79 from Culling of Stratholme dropped and I (holy paladin healer) obviously rolled on this trinket, which actually talks about HEALING SPELLS, and then lost to a shadow priest, like wtf.

How can you get to high 70s and still not understand that on spec comes before off spec? I guess ebay..
This was before the dual spec patch too.

/ragequit :( :(

OK so I have played wow but dont now and here are my thoughts. Although I know next to nothing about it now.

Amulet is rare and worth something im assuming.

You and the other guy could have used it whereas the warrior could not. But why shouldnt he roll for it and just sell it?? Did he not help to get the drop???
This is totally not how the game works.
Any loot from lower levels isn't worth much, and this drop would have been Bind on Pickup i'm assuming so the warrior could have only sold it to NPCs for a very very low price, not to other players.

Only read this section if you play WoW, otherwise you probably won't understand much.

Alright, I was running SM Cath earlier this morning. We had a really bad group, but I knew we could make it. The group poorly put together, partly a fault of mine and partly because it's hard to find a good group in the morning, but it worked. As things sometimes go with recruiting for pugs, I ended up tanking AND healing, which suited me fine. I mean seriously, this is SM, level 30-40... It's easy as shit. Well there was a shaman and a warrior who were constantly getting on my nerves, and when we killed Mograine and Whitemane, the Triune Amulet drops. Naturally me (a pally) and the Warlock roll on it. Then of course the warrior rolls on it and wins it. Me and the lock just dropped group and logged right then.

You will understand this part if you play WoW or not.

I'm not really all that worked up about it, I'm just posting because I know some people will find this funny and to make my point: Why the hell are there so many noobs on MMOs? I ran a group for SM and when we were in the cathedral with like 50 praying people and that one boss (can't quite remember his name, it's been forever). We entered the Cathedral and were about to start pulling the prayers when some n00b Warlock takes a straight spell shot at the boss and they all come running back and own us. Even double volleys from level 60 hunters couldn't save us from Uber Humiliation.
Yeah I hate that, especially when you tell them repeatedly about the danger of hitting the boss before you clear the Cathedral.

I hate the whole "make the tank the leader" crap in groups. Cause he always pulls the whole bullshit of rolling for his offspec when its an upgrade for your mainspec. Also, MASTER LOOT is there for a reason. If you dont have it on, you might as well just drop group anyways.

Since you're doing SM, you probably dont know what I mean by this but..

I was doing H:HoL (Heroic Halls of Lightning) And the 2h dps axe drops of the last boss. The retard DK tank already has a titansteel destroyer and decides to roll on it. No one else in the group even says anything, jerks that they are. So I lose it, take a screeny, posted it on forums, and got nearly 100 replys saying the DK was a tard.

Its WoW. So many people play, you're bound to have morons.

The problem with WoW is that it attracts a lot of people who wouldn't necessarily have played games like that before and know the general 'netiquette' or have spent some time getting to know their classes.

It's the lower levels that suffer more for this as people tend to learn those kind of things as they level up. The best response though (if they have an honest personality and are mature) is to politely explain to them why that item is not suited for their class then maybe 3 times out of ten they raise a ticket with a GM and the item gets transfered. But really on low levels the xp rate is so nerfed that the item would be useless after a couple of days anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it. Besides last time I played, Paladins got dibs on virtually everything at 80.

The only thing I remember similar was that our guild leader saw fit to give a rogue the first Thunderfury on the server (himself a paladin) that was a little strange.
Quel'Serar was a far better weapon then thunderfury and much easier to get, it benefited rouges and fury warriors much more.

SuperFriendBFG said:
Giving the first Thori'dal Star's Fury to a Robue when several hunters in the group could've used it much better. There are actually better alternatives for Rogues then the legendary bow. They benefit very little from the DPS stat.
You have to remember the context of what happened, the 2 hunters present were reportedly bad raiders and the GM had personal beef with them. Also it happened with wrath like 2ish months away.

I USED to play Runescape, and people were so dumb on that game
when my friends made me go onto nonmember worlds, all these noobs would swarm me because i had cool armor and weapons
when i used to have a granite maul, some guy walked up and shouted "Cool Rock Hammer Dude!"
?
