I remember this company, I think it was called Humongous Studios, that made point-&-click puzzle games for kids (Pajama Sam, Putt-Putt, spy fox, Freddie fish)
I have fond memories of those games.

While I cannot remember the name of the game for the life of me, I do remember spending a lot of my early computer time playing a simple point-and-click distraction, with kooky cartoon animations taking place in a hotel, or something.

Then, some time around that little oddity, I played the first Lego Island game. And it kicked ass...at the time. It probably hasn't aged well.

ahhh Crazyoid how I miss you... why couldn't you be compatible with windows 7? By the way Crazyoid was an old game (for windows 95 I think) where you had a space ship which you could upgrade with money you got from fighting gelatinous blobs of aliens while listening to awesome repetitive electronic music.

Torin's Passage.

I literally had forgotten about it until my sister brought it up. Took me a few days to remember the little dog thing moogle and soon as i had the name I had the game.

Lot less challenging as an adult.

I remember this one space war, flight simulator, game thing that had this cutscene where all of these spies/infiltrators got brutally slaughtered by giant mechanical spider bots. That scene scared the hell out of me.

It's funny how when people talk about nostalgia or childhood and PC games, I instantly think UT2004. That, BF1942 or GTA3.

Isle of the Dead was a Doom clone, but set on a tropical island, so it kind of stood out.

Side note: doesn't seem that many people are actually naming "forgotten" games, just nostalgic ones. I mean hell, more than half the games listed in this thread are still having sequels made these days.

Sokoban
Silpheed
Bouncing Babies
X-Wing, Tie Fighter
Wolfenstein 3D
Blake Stone
Sky Roads

Don't pretend like you've heard of half of them, because I know you haven't.
That's the trouble, most of the games I played, people have never heard of them and that cuts down on my ability to talk about them effectively. And now that half of them have been cloned/rehashed/reimplemented into various games it makes it EVEN HARDER to talk about because of how they are.
