Oh God, "G Gundam"! That sh!t resonated with me so deeply.
I actually created original characters for that show, which evolved into something completely different from the Gundam series entirely. I plan on introducing these characters to my DeviantArt page soon enough.

Johnny Bravo...
I remember watching it almost every weekend morning.
If only it was still on...
*cries*

Also: I remember watching Dexter's Lab and Ed, edd, and eddy, but I watched Johnny Bravo much more.

It's hard to list all my favorites that I miss from my childhood, so I'll just put up my top three anime that I miss and don't see anymore aside from on the internet.

Powerpuff Girls and Dragonball Z for me.

There were a lot of other great shows, but those were the two that I loved watching the most.
And... The Simpsons, of course. Still a cartoon, after all, and it was the very first that I remember watching.

I'll admit, I don't remember Wing very well, I can only recall seeing 1 episode, but i'm sure I saw more, because I remember seeing the badass known as epyon:

Anyways, I recall G gundam much better. For those who didn't see it, it's like this:
Remember the budokai tourments in Dragonball? It's like that, only with giant mechs, and a gundam version of the gravemind from Halo.

THIS HAND OF MINE GLOWS WITH AN AWESOME POWER!

IT'S BURNING GRIP TELLS ME TO DEFEAT YOU!

TAKE THIS!!!

MY LOVE!

MY ANGER!

AND ALL OF MY SORROW!!!

SHINING FINGER!!!!
That quote, I have been looking for it forever! I knew it was an anime, but how did I not remember that!? I love that quote, thank you so much for posting that! *hugs as tight as he can*
Seriously, that show was one of my favorites as a kid and I still remember a lot from it including that quote, in fact I use that quote a lot when I'm playing a fighting game and about to do either a finisher or just completely annihilate my enemy in some awesome way. At least I say the "Take this! My love, my hatred and all of my sorrow!" part, and that's the only part I could remember for a long time.
At least I didn't have to rely on the HELP OF KYOJI!! to remember this quote. XP

There are only a few shows not already mentioned that I have watched that are from the last few years not mentioned. Sailor Moon, Bobobo Bo Bo Bobo, Biker Mice from Mars and Xiaolin Showdown and Recess. That's all I got for now. I can't remember the name but there was also the show where the main character was connected to King Kong or something like King Kong by some sort of neural link on the side of his head.

ok i understand at age 14 i shouldnt be allowed to have nostalgia moments, and i also only barely remember almost all of these cartoons since i saw the tail ends or re-runs of the series in the end of the 90s and early 2000s but still, i have some damn fond memories of these series

and also does nobody remember the grim adventures used to be the grim and evil show? divided between hector concarne (i think it was) and grim and billiy and mandy? and then once it became the grim adventures of billy and mandy the chars from the evil half of the show? (scar is probably my fav char too, not sure why)

The moment you mentioned Digimon, which I remembered was on Fox, I was reminded of this series:

That's not the Godzilla cartoon! It doesn't even have Godzookie!
Edit:...And why has no one mentioned Sonic!?
Edit: Ok, so someone mentioned Sonic.

Oh my. Such waves of nostalgia I have now. I miss when cartoons were so simple and more likable. The Animaniacs, Pokemon, Digimon. I could spend forever listing all the things I miss.

On the Western side of things: Batman: TAS, Kim Possible (shush, haters), Pinky & The Brain, The Animals of Farthing Wood (most depressing show ever made), SWAT Kats, I missed Transformers but grew up on Beast Wars, The Timon and Pumba Show.

On the Anime side: Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura, DBZ, Pokemon, Digimon, all that stuff.

When I was a young teen late 90's early 2000's, pokemon and yugioh. Edit: Almost forgot on this line, Jackie Chan Adventures.

early 90's to late 90's, Garfield and Friend's, Dexter's Laboratory, Swat Kats, Goof Troop, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Histeria!

Late 80's to early 90's classic old old Micky Mouse cartoons, Looney Toons, Flintstones, The Jetsons, the old classic Scooby Doo, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Edit:
Jackie Chan Adventures is one of my all time favorites. Uncle is one of the best cartoon characters around.

"One mooore thing."

"Never mock the cookie."

No, just...no. The mid 00s aren't long enough ago to be "nostalgic." The 90s are at least a decade ago. The mid and early 00s are only half a decade ago; that kind of time passes in the blink of an eye.

I'm sorry, I'm going to sound like a snobby douche here, but a generation that was raised in the 00s hasn't been around long enough to know what nostalgia is. Give it at least a decade before you reminisce about some of those later shows.

Now, for my contribution:
http://de.sevenload.com/videos/RpBZD9o-Ren-And-Stimpy-Happy-Happy-Joy-Joy
(I would have linked a YouTube video, but every dipshit there decided the original footage+song wasn't worth including, or putting effort into beyond holding a shitty camera in front of a TV screen, or they would include some stupid-ass riff commentary :p)
Normally, i'd agree with you.

But I don't feel that's the case.

To me and others my age, our childhoods, even though they didn't end but a few years ago, seem far more distant.

That, and I personally have had a more adult look on morality and life then others my age since I was very young, so I would say that the whole "Ignorant blissful youth who is hidden from the horrors of the world" thing only lasted till I was like 7.

That, and you have to remember that since we are younger, our perception of time is different.

We haven't been alive as long as others, so shorter amounts of time feel longer for us. IE: a year would be a very very very long time for a 5 year old, but not for a 40 year old, dince they have experienced 40 of them.

As for updating the thread, i'll get to it soon, so hold on!
