If someone can't pay for a $20 game they should go look for a job rather than sit on their ass playing a video game.

That article was kind of misleading. The person asked for a free account, and if he couldn't get one he'd just pirate it. Notch replied "Just pirate it" He's definitely not promoting people taking his game for free, just not really condemning it.

After I saw this I was going to pirate Minecraft to see what the fuss was about. then I thought "screw it". I bought it instead . loving the game.

That's exactly what I did, and I did feel bad at the time, but I recently bought minecraft pe, getting ready for the February updates. Good one Notch.

Namely, even assuming that all the purchases happened during the beta period, he'd still have the equivalent of 60 million dollars, more than what any of us could spend in our lives unless we're deliberately trying to.
