Since President-Elect Barack Obama will become President Obama in 10 days, how do you think his term will go? Feel free to add specifics.

I voted for Obama, and I'm very optimistic. I haven't felt this good since Clinton was elected.

Universal Healthcare is my biggest concern and I'm hoping Obama will enact some legislation moving us towards that!

I'm going to enjoy this primarily because there's a staunch conservative in my first period class and I get to rub it in his face when Obama does an awesome job.

Wouldn't it be totally awesome if he sucked as president? Think how funny that would be.

I hope Obama will do well being a diehard democrat myself, but actually looking at his seemingly non existant beliefs on current real world issues (such as the gaza strip right about now) I don't have high hopes for his single term presidency. hopefully the next president will a great leader rather than just a popular one.

^ Yes I do find it odd he hasn't really come out with too much about the gaza strip issue.
Well with as bad as hes saying it is right now I don't think his term shall go to well.

As a non-american, as long as he doesn't do anything stupid and lets the world economy heal i'll be fine with his term.

The environment could use some love, too. If he does those two things, and i am optimistic he will, then he will have been a success in my eyes.

That's Biden's job. He's President of the Senate.

People say love will always prevail. Unfortunately so does hate more often than not.

On Topic. I voted for Obama and am very optimistic for the next four years. I think that unfortunately the first part of his term will be trying to clean up after Bush (Much as Pigeon_Grenade pointed out). I really can't wait to see him do a great job just to rub it in all the racist rednecks who are convinced that America will become a socialist country and all of our guns will be taken away the second he is sworn in.

well seems that Harper was so stiff he Did not Realize our Economy is so not bullet proof.

the Liberals are stuck in a leader Debate

NDP and the Bloc(the party that has control of Quebec) are both Obscure , and when the 3 of them Realized how stiff Harper was, a large Fight broke out that Included Illegal Wire taps, and a lack of understanding of our own laws on what the leader of the Opposition Can and cant do. then Harper had Parliament shut down so he can do what he likes + relax for a month
(sums it up, and it was so much like a Soap Opera or something i haven't bothered to look more at it)

Canada gets to watch a Historic Moment happen in America, and then looks to our Own government, and people wonder why our Beer is so strong

It's the responsibility of the Congress and Senate, not Biden. Biden's only real responsibility in the Senate is to cast a tie-breaking vote if it's needed. Ultimately, it's Obama's job to sign into law any legislation that would come from Congress and the Senate regarding Healthcare.

No offense, but you need to brush up on your civics bro!

Fun fact: America has been socialist as long as Americans have been on welfare.
