A combination of enchantments that gave me 100% spell absorption.

Also a touch spell that pretty much kills anything in one hit. I like to pretend it makes their internal organs explode.

I didnt know how to make custom spells.............

HOW!?!?!?!
If you gain access to the Arcane university through the Mages Guild questline, you can create custom spells at special alters.

Why would I need to make a spell in the game when I have Midas Magic?

My main guy is a mage, and I make all my own spells for all the stuff I do. But my FAVORITE is a Paralyze for a long time on Self that for whatever reason, casting it in midair glitches you to turn into a gooey, fluidy, player character looking gel that flows down hills until your effect runs out and you snap back together. Hours of fun on that game.

I personally really liked Detect Life. Yes, the effect annoys when you're doing dialogue, but in battle, at night, when you wield a bow and the Gray Cowl of Nocturnal, you will see all enemies, and they will not see you. It is a most pleasurable affair, nocking an arrow and taking them before they know you exist. If only the Cowl didn't make every guard in any city or town chase you and change all the dialogue, I'd never take it off.

Burden was useless to me, as was most of the buffer spells. Maybe that's just the way I set up my main magic character, but you'd think a High Elf Mage would be able to cast some decent stuff. God knows.

It also costs waaaaay too much to make a spell. You have to farm if you want anything insane, and that's precisely what I want but am unwilling to do.

Mine is one that does 100 fire damage, 100 frost damage and 100shock damage. Costs bout 150 a time but it kills most things
I had one like that, though less powerful. I called it "Elementary, My Dear Watson". Cringeworthy pun, but fun. I just wish they'd bothered to do a multi-elemental effect with spells instead of just putting a Thunder effect on them. It's so lame.

i called mine "ALLAH!!!!!" it did 100 damage to me and everyone within a 5 metre radius
I threw back my head and laughed at this.

I called it the Falcon Punch.
Oh wow, that's actually a pretty good name for that.

Can you make a Polymorph spell that turns an enemy into a random creature (Mudcrab, Dog, Cow, Sheep, etc)? I want that one.
Yes, you can, you just need to have the Shivering Isles expansion and finish that main quest. You get a staff that can change the weather and the power to turn enemies into animals, if I remember correctly. There is some other way to get it as well. Check OblivioWiki, you should find something.

What are your favorite custom spells on oblivion? they can be anything just as long as you can cast it without console commands or other various glitches.

my personal favorite is a spell that does 10 damage to health every second for 10 seconds and simultaneously does 8 fire damage a sec for 10 seconds coming out to a total of about 180 damage after the spell is done, and it only costs like 75 magicka (for me)
My favorite is the "Summon Oblivion Gate" spell by J3X, the modding GOD.
It summons an oblivion gate, and based on your level, it pours out a wide variety of daedra to wreak havoc.

EDIT: Ooops. Sorry, mine is from a mod.

Paralysis for 60 seconds on self

Seriously though...

I have always enjoyed spells that summon whole sets of armor and weapons. I usually run around in regular clothes and summon my armor and weapons when I need them.

I had one I called Sucker Punch. It did 100 fire damage, 100 frost damage, 100 shock damage, 100 health damage, and 100 health drain on touch. It cost me around 300 magicka to cast, but I had a bit over 600 magicka with certain gear.

The Nuke: Maxed Radius, max damage fireball drained my magika to 0. Since I was a stealth character it was used as a last ditch since as a Dark elf with a shit ton of fire resist (I could sleep in bonfires)I took no damage. Forgot on a few occasions not to use it indoors or in a city. Shit flew.

One of my favorites has to be casting fire on self. Somewhere in the game, either a loading screen, book, or some mage, says that some of those really heavy into destruction spells would do that in order to buff up their stats... or something to that effect. Anyway, I tried it as part of my "no fast travel" playthrough just in case my immortal badass avatar decided to cast Finger of the Mountain, and it worked beautifully. This also bode well for my restoration spells.

On that note, I created a mage's cap with the same spell. Since mage's caps weigh in at nothing, you can "reverse pickpocket" them. Since most people don't wear hats, or the mage's hat is better than what they're wearing, they will eventually put it on, and then it's only a matter of time before they keel over. Much more useful in the Dark Brotherhood than those poison apples.

I actually wore this hat during the Great Sigil stone mission, because the statue created in your honor in Bruma wears what you were wearing during the mission. I was hoping for a flaming statue. No such luck.

For those about to question the wisdom of wearing a damaging item during a late game mission like that, I was about level 42 by that point, and had disregarded armor more than 20 levels ago. Anyone can steal a Great Sigil stone, but only an immortal badass can do it with in a flaming hat and without armor.

And while I'm at it, Morrowind is great if you like enchanting stuff. It set me back just over 22,000 gold, but a constant effect +4 health amulet really comes in handy. You will still die... a lot, but not as often with hanging around your neck.

Side note: maybe we can try for something between "immortal badass" and "dying with an expensive +4 constant health amulet" in Elder Scrolls V, Bethesda?

Fortify lockpick 100 (or whatever takes you to 100) for 1 second on self - a cheap, easy to cast spell that's enough to let you open any lock - it doesn't wear off while you are actually picking the lock.

Charm 100 points for 1 second on touch - cast it and talk to them immediately, and it doesn't wear off until you're done talking, cheap and easy to cast.

Paralysis for 1 sec in huge radius on target - relatively cheap and easy to cast because of the short duration, and even a 1 second paralysis makes enemies fall over and get back up again, which disables them for much more than the 1 second duration.

Not strictly a spell, but the Wabbajack staff you can get from Sheogorath's daedric shrine quest does that - it's random though, so it could be a rat or a daedroth :)

I have six custom spells that I use:

Restore Fatigue 3pts for 1sec on self
Drain Fatigue 3pts for 1sec on self
Light 3ft for 1sec on self
Detect Life 3ft for 1sec on self
Shield 3% for 1sec on self
Bound Gauntlets for 1sec on self

Combined with KCAS, any character even at Lv1 can be a magic-using powerhouse.
Why would you want to drain your own fatigue? [I was never a big magic user in Oblivion. If I misunderstood what you meant, forgive me :S]
The point of all those spells is to train the various spell school skills - they have 1 point costs, so you can spam them constantly as you walk around and rapidly advance your magic casting skills. The drain fatigue one is for training the destruction.

Seriously, mudcrabs piss me off
At least they're not cliff racers.

On topic, I use damage health poisons mostly. I actually used most of my spells off the rack, but, I went nuts with soul gems and enchanting. I've also been known to, on occasion, spam quick load to get the right sigil stone (water breathing and night eye early on, later on Soul Trap, and fortify attributes.)

"Ouch, My Ankle!" - Paralyze 1 second on touch.

This is mostly used to taunt. I just sadistically laugh as they impotently try to swing at me.

"Slow Burn" - Fire Damage 1 point per second for max amount of time.

This plus 100% Chameleon = Entire towns full of people running around on fire. Pretty entertaining.
