I think I remember that game... It had that weird Purple thing guy with one leg and a lot of green soda cans or something like that... Fuck it has been a LONG time.

A Horror game for the PS2 by the name Extermination. I doubt many know of this thing. It is not very good but ehh.
Also another (But slightly more known) PS2 game: Chaos Legion. This game was actually pretty fucking fun.

Mission Critical, probably. Heard of it? Didn't think so.

Seriously? My brother still has a copy lying around somewhere. It's the only Oddworld game I've finished because I'm terrible at side-scrollers.

Deathgate. At least I think it's obscure. I've never met anyone who's played it. It's a DOS point-and-click that my uncle gave me when I was a kid. I got all nostalgic a couple years ago and read some of the books its based on. I honestly could not tell you a single thing about them -- they're that forgettable.

I've never played it myself, but I've heard Silent Hill 2 is quite obscure [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fog].

It's not so much an obscure game, as the franchise it's built off of is still quite alive and well. But the 1993 Shadowrun for the SNES is still to this day one of my favorite games and one that I replay from time to time. I only with someone would make an RPG off of it again sometime soon.

Great Greed for the original Gameboy.

It was made by the guys who would go on to make the pokemon games and instead of using normal names they just list stuff out of the fridge.

Id recommend it

You mean "The Saboteur" that was reviewed in Zero Puctuation or "Saboteur" for the ZX Spectrum?

How about "Murtrum" for the ZX Spectrum??

"Requiem: The Avenging Angel" for the PC and published by 3DO, it somehow got a good review by Charlie Brooker (that guy from Screenwipe) back in the 1999. And also by 3DO we got "Heroes 3 of Might and Magic" and special mention goes to the Fan Made mod called "Heroes 3: In the Wake of The Gods"

Or how about the implacable trio of obscurity made by SHINY?? "Sacrifice", "MDK" and "Messiah". All made for PC

On the Freeware side we got "Iji" from Remar Games

And on the Sega Genesis side we got: "Alien Soldier", "Thunder Force IV" and "Vectorman" (i cant believe that those 3 games actually didnt have popular following)

Had a game growing up that I can't even find a reference to on any abandonware sites: Cannonball Run. It was sort of an old donkey kong rip where a little redcoat shot a cannon ball down some platforms every so often and you had to jump them as you ascended so you could punch him in the face. (and presumably save the Republic)

It had a really cute bit of round-start music.

I also have an original code copy of Pooyan somewhere that only runs on G or later apple models.

La-Mulana, back before it got all popular thanks to Deceasedcrab finding out what the Treasure That Must Not Be Seen was.

Retribution [http://www.pcisozone.com/downloads/1948/retribution/]. It's so obscure there's pretty much nothing about it on the internet. All I remember about it was the boxart that used to freak me out as a kid.

In my current collection Lost Kingdoms and its sequel for Gamecube, I LOVE THOSE GAMES!

And a more recent addition is the Cursed Crusade for PS3 which is actually pretty fun coach co-op but the production values are pretty low.

Also, Exhumed (Power Slave in the U.S) for Sega Saturn, I loved it as a child but haven't played it in a few years.

Sanitarium.

It was this weird point-and-click PC game, and it had some really dark humor.
