Agreed, Children's TV channels have been going downhill lately, what with the emphasis on crappy cartoons and live-action bullshit. Too many good shows have been cancelled and replaced with... crap!
That's...not the point I'm trying to make.
Oh... okay then. Sorry about that.

Is Regular Show still on? If so, then I'm happy.
CN would be absolutely stupid to stop airing Regular Show and Adventure Time. Both are still on and I think they're still doing new episodes too on a weekly basis. Other than that I've been watching CN less and less. If I had the right cable provider I would be watching Boomerang which is the new CN (seriously: it's mostly repeats but its good stuff).

So, if you want to watch the latest episodes...
There you go.

No problem, man. But to respond anyway...

I have no problem with CN's content. I've enjoyed Adventure Time and Regular Show. It's just the way they run the channel that rubs me the wrong way. The idea that a channel made exclusively for cartoons wants to add live-action shows plus not being completely honest when they cancel perfectly successful series(Are we really supposed to believe they couldn't make toys out of Sym-Bionic Titan?) is just plain stupid.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. And while I too enjoy Adventure Time (along with a few others)... they way the channel's being run is a bit of a sore spot for me...

Everyone has got it just about right on this post. Cartoon network shot themselves in the foot with really shitty ideas as mentioned above, and showed themselves heading into Nickelodeon territory of awfulness. However, the appearance of these better shows popping up is (as optimistic as it sounds) a good sign, such as Regular show (Fucking hilarious) or Adventure Time (As of right now my favorite show on television).

As for older Cartoon shows, Dexter's Lab, Samurai Jack, Powerpuff Girls etc., hit up boomerang, It's a cornucopia of old titles such as these.

I've been out of the loop for a LONG time with CN so can someone tell me if any of these shows still exist (Even in re-run format)?
Cow and Chicken
Two Stupid Dogs
Powerpuff Girls
Johnny Bravo
Dexter's Lab
Ren and Stimpy
Samurai Jack
Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends
None of them are on CN anymore, but they have another channel (I forget what it's called off the top of my head though) that basically only runs old cartoons, including a few of those.

Green Lantern was just starting a new season and Young Justice was getting new episodes again. To see them postponed until January just when they start pissed me right the fuck off.

I mean, I was already pissed since Symbionic Titan and Thundercats seem to have been canceled at cliff-hangers, so now I'm double-pissed. Yeah they're on Toonami now, but I doubt they'll get enough ratings to warrant un-cancellation. At least DC nation will be coming back.

Hopefully.

They're re-running episodes of those shows every now and then since it's Cartoon Network's 20'th birthday. Not very much though, sadly.

Is that why there haven't been new episodes in a while? Because they couldn't make toys out of the show?

Oh come on. It's a show about kids who transorm into big suits of armor who then morph into a giant goddamn robot. And don't tell me giant robots don't sell. They're giant robots! Everyone digs giant robots.

You dig giant robots.
I dig giant robots.
Chicks dig giant robots.
...

I miss MegasXLR :(

I don't know to break this to you, but I don't think they just haven't stopped making new episodes. It got cancelled.

Ehh it's going the Nickelodeon route (few good shows, mostly Live Acton and BS).

A little off-topic, but is the Dragon show worth watching?
It's a little anvilicious at times, but I enjoy it.

Except for every time Hiccup opens his fat mouth, because they replaced his movie voice actor with someone awful.
... Thats, the same guy, Jay Baruchel [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jay_Baruchel]. He does both the Movie and the TV show, so... If you hate his voice in the TV show, then you probably shouldn't like his Movie voice either...

In fact, "Dragons" has almost every voice actor returning from the Movie to the TV show! The only 4 I can think of are Jonah Hill not being Snotlout, Craig Ferguson not being Gobber, Gerard Butler as Stoic, And Kristin Wiig not reprising her role as Ruffnut. Everyone else was from the movie (Unless they're a new character).

Was Green Lantern and Young Justice even that great?

I ask because GL's CG really put me off, and Young Justice did this weird unneeded timeskip in the first episode of the second season, so I havn't seen either every much.

Maybe because no one has mentioned it, but it was DC's fault that they pulled the episode for not renewing licensing agreements for people like Rocket, Icon and Static Shock (Static, who made an appearance in that exact episode, but powerless) since they're not DC properties.

At least that's the rumor, so it's likely CN's hardly to blame. They were completely ready to air it since I hear claim of a lot of people's DVRs were still set to record it.

DC Nation is coming back on January, probably to edit out the characters or renew license agreements. We'll see how that goes....

Though I won't forgive CN for cancelling Samurai Jack, Sym-bionic Titan, Megas XLR, Generator Rex, Transformers Animated and Thundercats.

After you said that, I went and played a clip from the movie and then one from the show.

Even if it's the same actor, the voice is different. Show Hiccup's voice is much more nasally than movie Hiccup's. That's not to say that movie Hiccup's voice wasn't a bit nasally, but not like show Hiccup.

I do like Stoick's new VA a lot more than Butler though.

Do you have a source for this? It'd be interesting to know if this has anything to do with Static Shock's comic getting canceled as well.

Yeah... I suspected as much...

*sigh*

Speaking of shows cancelled too early, anyone else remember Time Squad?

That was a good show.
