I set my friends on fire are a hardcore band. They only covered Soulja Boi (If that is what you are going on about as you provided no link). As a matter of fact, I look forward to seeing them at Warped Tour in Cleveland this year.

THIS.
SHIT.
IS.
SO.
FUCKING.
OLD.
Next time you find something like this, check the date. If its this old, don't get all excited and rush over here expecting to shine a light on us, just keep it to yourself and your friends.

And BTW, the "Crank That" song rocks, only because its the funniest thing to take a shitty-pussy-ADD genre like Screamo, and combine it with a rap song like some unholy mutation, flopping around with its bones cracking and twisting, squeezing the breath from its body with an unending scream of agony. Its a nice thing to see happen to both genres at once.

Don't be ridiculous.

The worst genres ever are country and rap.
Whats so bad about rap?
Everything.

From the lyrics (almost always some sort of variation on "I have a giant cock" or "whores are sucking me off under the table) to the volume people play it at (too fucking loud, motherfuckers. I don't want my eardrums to pop at a hundred paces. Turn down your fucking music.)

And before you try and convince me that there is good rap out there, save it.
I'm sure there is.
But I don't want to hear it. Literally.
Fair dos..

New age rap is horrible :/

No, not that I don't believe (though who knows what the OP is on about). That is the band Aiden performing their song called I Set My Friends On Fire.

I believe he is talking about this song [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0fpbopNqFE] which I am personally a huge fan of.

You misspelled "rapper".

Just wait.
Just you wait.
It'll happen.
And on that day, humanity will die.
Don't even think about that.

As for rap and screamo, I usually try to understand music, but I understood the duck dance song more than that.

What's wrong with rap?

I think it's worth pointing out that rap and screamo are two genres of very different breadth and scope, so making comparisons between them and insinuating that they could somehow be combined is a little stupid.

Also, why do you people care so much that someone, somewhere, is listening to music you don't like?

Well, you're welcome to your opinion, however myopic and willfully stupid it may be.

We care about their souls and minds. And social lifes. Once someone listening that junk goes to high school, they will get kicked every day for listening to that crap.

There is good rap out there, you just have to find among this "I'm-in-the-club-and-think-anyone-cares" style of rap today.
I remember when rap used to be about cool, or relatable things. I do remember when we had the good shit.

Do you always act like this when you've seen something before?. What offended you so much that you had too tell the OP "dont rush over here expecting to shine a light".

There's nothing wrong with rap music just a majority of commercial rap artists. When I see douchebags bitching about "how the lyrics suck" I am in full agreement most of the time with whatever specific track or artist they're talking about. However you better take your narrow-ass and critique the the artist not the medium. It's the same BS people do with video games and it's so pathetic to see hypocrite gamers do the same.

That doesn't even begin to make sense, unless you're some sort of mental toddler who can't separate fantasy from reality when it comes to music. Why should the music one listens to affect their mind or "soul"? Also, if your high school is full of people who beat people up over their choice of music, you and they have bigger problems, I daresay.
