http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=voHt52tsT1U Is this close enough for you? :p

Commercial/mainstream rap sucks. Try listening to some early 80's hip-hop or even Mos def, Talib kweli and Common.

Sorry everyone, I can't post a link because I am at school right now.

But when I get home I'll update with links.

You can go to Youtube.com and type in "Top 5 Rap/Screamo songs" and it will show a video of ISMFOF doing "Crank Dat" and other songs.

Bofus Teefus said:
Um...would you kindly post a link? Using your search, the results gave a song which was decidedly screamo, but had little/no rap.
Refer to the above :]

I don't know if this is sarcasm or serious, but Country/rap has already been done.

There's nothing wrong with rap music just a majority of commercial rap artists. When I see douchebags bitching about "how the lyrics suck" I am in full agreement most of the time with whatever specific track or artist they're talking about. However you better take your narrow-ass and critique the the artist not the medium. It's the same BS people do with video games and it's so pathetic to see hypocrite gamers do the same.
beautifully said!, when I think of Rap I think of classics such as KC Flight, Grandmaster Flash and Vanilla Ice.

The current crop that think "Guns, Bitches and Bling" are part of the four elements are pretty poor though.

OLD.
Next time you find something like this, check the date. If its this old, don't get all excited and rush over here expecting to shine a light on us, just keep it to yourself and your friends.

And BTW, the "Crank That" song rocks, only because its the funniest thing to take a shitty-pussy-ADD genre like Screamo, and combine it with a rap song like some unholy mutation, flopping around with its bones cracking and twisting, squeezing the breath from its body with an unending scream of agony. Its a nice thing to see happen to both genres at once.
Do you always act like this when you've seen something before?. What offended you so much that you had too tell the OP "dont rush over here expecting to shine a light".
I wasn't offended, just annoyed.
I've lived through the time when this first hit the internets, and I saw my friends pass this shit around like the plauge.
That was two fucking years ago.
Now today, I see this OP posting this thread, all excited like he found the funniest thing ever. I woudn't have been so annoyed if he had just wanted to discuss it.

Oh, I'm sorry that I don't keep up with all the latest fucking tabloids stating "OMG NEW GENRE OF MUSIC!!" I had just been going on to Youtube last night and found it and wanted to kill myself. I'm sorry if I offended you, but you don't have to come in here and start flaming for something that you weren't forced to read in the first place.

But we are discussing it, and music in general before you got your knickers in a twist, looks to me like this thread is mildly successful currently. Kudos to the OP.

To be honest I'd not seen it before. As for your friend passing it around like the plague well we all have friends like that... normally hoax's are sent, you know the one, from the girl you know..
Just a fact of the internet.

Funny thing is when someone tells you or shows you something in real life that you've seen before you just say "oh yeah i've seen that already" and then discuss it. You dont go mad!.

I said I wasn't offend, and I defiantly wasn't trying to start a flame war, you fucking idiot.
Read my shit again, and keep your eyes on it until the words stop. I was just trying to give you advice, albeit, with a heavy hand. If you won't listen to me, you need to learn to brush me off, because with the way your going, you'll to run into worser harassers, assholes, and bullies than me, and they won't be trying to help you not look like an idiot.

I'm fine with this having turned into a discussion. But when I first dropped on this thread, it was just me, the OP, and a few other people. It wasn't getting a lot of traffic, and I noticed he was talking about something that happened years ago like it was the new shit, which I thought was turning people off his topic.
Maybe I should have originally wrote something a bit kinder, I was a bit of an ass.
I was just trying to make it vivid for him, like these people talking about killing themselves over this.

How would that work? Would it be like a rap about cigarettes and Jesus? I'm so confused!

I was like screamo and rap...okay so?

No, not that I don't believe (though who knows what the OP is on about). That is the band Aiden performing their song called I Set My Friends On Fire.

I believe he is talking about this song [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0fpbopNqFE] which I am personally a huge fan of.
Oh damn. I'm an Aiden fan, so I was all ready to argue my case about how I like Aiden and dammit, you can't change my opinion.

However, if the thread is about the song you posted, I'm going to have to express my complete and utter lack of care.

I took a listen anyway and thought "meh". I'm not a great fan of either genre, so hearing them together just made me chuckle.

What's wrong with Country?
