NONONO, IT'S NOT HAPPENING.

I'm not going to buy any form of motion control to play FPS' though, that's what a controller is for. Motion controls should have specific games made to the strengths of such a system.Mazty said:No buttons is really, really going to bite Microsoft hard. Basically, bye bye FPS', racing games etc unless you want a very watered down version of them.Liberaliter said:Microsoft did one of these as well.
I think Kinect is looking best personally, because Move is just like the Wii. But overall, they all suck.
Which is why you'd use a normal controller, rather than all this motion capture stuff. The move seems to be going for the 'better version of the wii' approach as opposed to the 'heres our spin on motion capture' that kinects doing. That would be fine if it didn't cost a fortune more, but it does.Mazty said:I like buttons. And frankly anyone into games properly does as well. How can you play a racer with no brake or accelerate? etc.Danzaivar said:This could be an advert for Kinect. Is there anyone who actually cares about the Move?

Those key features suck.Volafortis said:So, Sony released a chart, pitting Move against the Wii and Kinect--

The funny thing is, while the chart shows it clearly beating the Wii, it only has 2 more "Yes"'s than Kinect. What's funnier is that, the two extra "No"'s on Kinect, are actually selling points for Kinect; they aren't missing features.
The two are: "Buttons" and "Rechargeable Batteries"
Kinect has always sold itself as a controller-less piece of hardware that plugs into the 360. As in, not needing batteries. Also, being controller-less, it obviously won't have buttons. Also, Kinect WILL allow 360 controller support, so technically, you have buttons (Although, with that same technicality, you do now need batteries)
Also, in the feedback it mentions "color-changing sphere". Really? They traded audio feedback for that?

It's original for this console generation, I guess. Don't recall saying that Kinect was original but I appreciate the strawman.Mazty said:How is ripping off eyetoy original?Danzaivar said:Which is why you'd use a normal controller, rather than all this motion capture stuff. I agree. If you wanted that you'd have bought a wii. I say the market is already spent on the casual move around section. It was stupid of both MS and Sony to jump on the bandwaggon. I'll be damned if any of those actually turns out to sell enough to be profitable (except Move which might sell enough in Japan alone).Jezzascmezza said:Haha, good one...poiumty said:FEATURES | Sony | Microsoft

But seriously, all the motion control thingys don't look appealing to me.
Reminds me of this video of camera tracking failing to track the black guy. The video was obviously made in good humour. Just don't read the comments that people make.Scrumpmonkey said:Move is just Wii motion control done a really really needlessly complex and expensive way. There are proabaly a thousend objects that camera could mistake for the controler bobble in peoples homes, out of all three solutions the Wii motion plus level of Wiimote still looks the best in terms of functionality, simplicity and the "Not fucking up" factor.
Also at E3 Move looked like it had one hell of a time lag on it, when he swung that golf club it literally came about a second later, He swung then the screen responded afterwards "Swing..... Swing!".
Kinect is still horribly crippled in my mind by the veriety of enviroments in peoples homes, the combined effect of what people wear, where people are and what colour people are could lead to some... interesting quirks at least and some monster law-suits at worst.
Yep, Mouse or controller for me. Just preference but I find it more precise.Mazty said:Really? Motion control is far more precise for FPS', in the same way a mouse is far better than a controller for FPS'. Kinetic is doing nothing that the eyetoy hasn't done before, with Move being the most powerful and all the strengths of wii and Kinetic put into one device. Whether it's actually any decent, as I can't stand the wii and Kinetic in my eyes looks awful, is another thing. But on bare paper, Move easily wins hands down.Liberaliter said:I'm not going to buy any form of motion control to play FPS' though, that's what a controller is for.
