Let's all return to the text base RPG and have a controller that read blinking.Donnyp said:lol thats awesome.Akalistos said:On the MOVE side, Kenect don't see black. Anyways, I'll pick the Six-Axis controller before any of them any day.Volafortis said:So, Sony released a chart, pitting Move against the Wii and Kinect--

The funny thing is, while the chart shows it clearly beating the Wii, it only has 2 more "Yes"'s than Kinect. What's funnier is that, the two extra "No"'s on Kinect, are actually selling points for Kinect; they aren't missing features.
The two are: "Buttons" and "Rechargeable Batteries"
Kinect has always sold itself as a controller-less piece of hardware that plugs into the 360. As in, not needing batteries. Also, being controller-less, it obviously won't have buttons. Also, Kinect WILL allow 360 controller support, so technically, you have buttons (Although, with that same technicality, you do now need batteries)
Also, in the feedback it mentions "color-changing sphere". Really? They traded audio feedback for that?

OT: I think Motion Controllers aside from Wii are stupid. I enjoy playing games on the wii that don't have a shit tone of movement and you can choose to do the massive movement or not. With kinetic you have to be standing up and no controller and such and with the move its to precise you need to move and be active.....i'm with yatzhee saying they should be coming up with ideas on how to make less movement.
I do believe sloth is a sin... But if it help the immersion, i don't care. But it need to work.Donnyp said:No....but its a start lol. Plus Gaming is about relaxing not losing weight. If i want to lose weight then i will work out Do push ups and stuff not go buy a Controller or device that makes me exercise to win.Akalistos said:Let's all return to the text base RPG and have a controller that read blinking.Donnyp said:lol thats awesome.Akalistos said:On the MOVE side, Kenect don't see black. Would you want to attack the army of Dragon
Blink one for yes and two for no._
No, i don't think that will work.

Unless it's a hardware requirement, I can't figure out why it would be there. There are better ways you could send the same kind of color feedback without attaching a big, awkward ball to the end of yourWiimotemagical move wand. If it is hardware requirement, they could have designed it better. I mean, the Wiimote doesn't have something like that.
All that chart showed me was just how similar Move is to the Wii. It certainly didn't demonstrate its superiority. OH WAIT IT HAS RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!
Relax? It's been a while since i hit the gym and i know there's nothing more relaxing then giving everything you have on every machines. So, i still don't see the problem of using Kenect, move or Wiimote in that way. On the other hand, i was one of the kid that bought the piece of junk camera for the gameboy so Kenect fail at the start to make my "to own" list.Donnyp said:i work out everyday. It's a friggin' chart, Microsoft did the same exact god damn thing [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/102236-Microsoft-Charts-Deem-Kinect-Cheapest-Versus-Competitors] just last week, and this chart was even shown in the same thread. Why the hell does it matter all of a sudden, what's so "funny" about it? Why be so smug about this when it's just a damn chart?

From what I've read, the Colored ball combined with the PSEye Camera thing allows the motion control to have depth and all sorts of techy things, like if you move the ball farther from the camera, the ball gets smaller, so then the camera makes the connection and makes the object smaller, allowing very acurate motions and supposed "true" 1:1 movement without the need of an attachmentWiiMotion+. So, yeah, I guess it's a hardware requirement.
But seriously, it's just a damn chart, why the hell does everyone have to make smug remarks, snarky comments, and go "HOHOHOHO SORNY, U DUN GOOFED!@#" It's a chart, a propaganda chart if you want, and again , so why is this surprising?
The chart looks fine to me, from what I'm reading it's just you going "OHHHHH SONY, YOU TRY TO MAKE CHART BUT IT LOOKS BAD TO ME!@# OOOOO U FAIL!@#", and if you're basing the value from just that snippet on the OP, it's not even the whole chart.Volafortis said:I could care less about the chart. It's how poorly the spin is on the chart. You see, in Microsoft's chart, they spin the stuff to make the 360/Kinect look cheap. In here, they spin the PSMove to look... mediocre (when they're trying to make it look good!).
Lol, that reminds me of a face-tracking camera that a friend had. It was fine with males, but the camera seemed to be a male itself when looking at females... no my face is NOT down there...Amnesiac Pigeon said:Reminds me of this video of camera tracking failing to track the black guy. The video was obviously made in good humour. Just don't read the comments that people make.
